shes part of the "new weird america", "freak-folk" movement thats going on right now, and i've just started to really enjoy her. I've read in many places that she is concidered the "female Devendra Banhart", which i could see the resemblance in a way, she does have an amazing vocal talent if you let it sink in.

Shes done many different projects over the past few years, probably most known for her song "little life", found on Devendras comp., golden apples of the sun. She's also done albums under other alias with other artists, like "Born Heller" or "Josephine Foster & The Supposed" to name a few. I recently got the "Born Heller" - S/T, and although i have only listened to it once, i think its a great release, and a good start to get a feel for her.

she is really awesome, i like her a lot. i downloaded Hazel Eyes, I Will Lead You a few months ago, and i was weirded out by her voice at first and didnt listen to the album again for a few weeks, but when i put it in my stereo again i listened for about a week straight, mostly to the song "There Are Eyes Above"... i quite love that one :p

i will be sure to check out her other releases when i get the chance. :)

i actually have that album of hers, but i only listened to it once...didnt give it much of a chance. but the "born heller" cd seems to really click with me, and i have a good feeling you would love it chuck :D

the one she did with the supposed is more of a pysch-rock opera album if anything. its definitly good, but it has some flaws that i try to look past. most notably is the lead guitar work...sometimes it sound great, but other times it sounds like complete crap :p...its worth to check out when ya can though.
