There aren't any like cool liberal schools in Oregon besides Reed in Portland which is really hard to get into and not really worth it unless you don't want to do anything except be in classes or be studying for them. University of Oregon in Eugene isn't a very cool school, but it's in Eugene which is a awesome town, and the same goes form Southen Oregon University but that's in Ashland, which is a smaller town. It's my favorite place in Oregon.

Yes, Eugene is an awesome town, and U of O isn't bad or anything, it is a very liberal school atleast with some cool programs. There are also places like...Lewis and Clark, which is right outside Portland and is smaller, and then there's always Evergreen, which is in Washington but still close, and from what I know is basically cool as it gets. Good luck :)

Any thoughts on Oregon State University in Corvallis.
I thought it was a good split between Eugene and Portland.

OSU is an all right school as well, I personally think that Eugene is a cooler town than corvallis but it's nice there too. Have you looked into southern oregon university at all? Ashland is a really nice town, much better than corvallis. I'm sure anywhere will be nice though, Oregon is good all over.
