I'm very interested in thier Education major posibilities, and the university is rahter cheap for me (An international student).

Has anyone been there or studied there? What can you tell me about the university itself and the town?

Thank you all, your help is appriciated. Your responses in my Naropa thread helped me alot :)

I don't know about the university, but the town is great. Lots of stuff to see, tons of hippies, as far as florida hippies go. The oldest schoolhouse in florida is there, I belive. There's alot of cool "old town" stuff, if that makes any sense. The fort's cool too, fun place to trip if you can handle the tourists.

I grew up in South FL and got a ton of mail from Flagler. It seemed like a nice college (though maybe that was just from the nice booklets/flyers). I havent heard a lot about it, good or bad. I think one of the main things which would make or break a decision to go there would be the size of the school. Good luck, cheers.

Flagler's a well respected school, pretty good size too...in a very desirable city. I might be wrong but I think I heard it ws the oldest city in north America. You can sightsee there, surf...very nice beaches. If you go, you will love the fort! and there is a sightseeing bus that tours the city everyday, i think. Cape Canavrel(sp) is nearby-that's where the space shuttles take off. Daytona beach is near too. Metropolitans such as Orlando and Jacksonville are 2 hours away, Tampa about 4 and Miami 6. I think its a beautiful, semitropical part of the world!

oh! ...and magic mushrooms grow wild there too!

I don't think so. I think the beach is on the west coast.

Daytona is actually very near, that's the airport one must land in inorder to go to St. Augustine, and it is indeed the oldest city in the US.

Thank you all for the responses, st. Augustine does seem like a beautiful town...

but the school is what I need to know more off.
