Im a sucker for documentaries yet I never seem to be able to easily find any at video rental stores except for the odd occaison. What are some good documentaries available on DVD? I dont really like DVD's dealing with disease normally so none of that. Like aid's etc, they sicken me more than interest me.

I saw a good one about wilderbeest crossing the Serengetti plains of the Masai Mara game reserve...oh no wait! I think one of them had the AIDS virus....fuck...don't watch that one dude!

Don't Look Back....a cool documentary by D A Pennebaker follows Bob Dylan around on his second visit to the UK in ummm 1967....worth watching...no disease at all in that one.

I really loved this documentary about the Rolling Stones, when at there show this guy gets stabbed by the guards who are Hells Angels. It has been a long time sice I've seen it. But it's really great! I think it was called Gimme Shelter.

Oh, and I also recommend Don't Look Back! So good.

Michael Moore did Fahrenheit 9/11, not Alex Jones.

I have seen Alex Jones' 9/11: The Road to Tyranny, however, and it is much better than Moore's movie.

oh, I saw that "Don't Look Back" too, I thought it followed him 1965. I'm not sure, I could be wrong. Great if you are a Dylan fan. Lucky for me, they showed it a few nights ago on Discovery-Times channel... ;)

Your right!...it was 1965!...I'd give you a prize for spotting my silly mistake but don't have one! well done anyway!...and what a good documentary it was...some of the conversations and interactions were funny/cool to watch/listen to!...glad I'm not the only one to have enjoyed it!

yep i enjoyed it, even though Bob was a little on the mean side. And don't worry, the copyright date is 1967 even though the movie follows him in 1965, so we are both right. :)

Try The Weatherman Underground. Disturbing documentary about the group that wanted to start a revolution against the government in the late 60's but got too caught up in acts of agression and violence and finally killed a couple of people in an explosion. It's a scary parallel to the way our country is heading right now! good flick though.
