is being around people that smoke cigerettes. I just can't stand the smell. I can't even stand it on people's clothes even if they are not smoking in front of me. So nasty. It really bothers me.
LoL, yeah or Delaware- I live in Maryland close to Delaware and I love going to restaurants and bars there because no one is smoking. I can't stand going into smokey bars. It gives me such bad headaches. I used to smoke myself but quit a year ago and haven't been able to stand the smell at all since then.
normally I don't really notice but in places with poor ventillation, where it gets clogged up, it bugs me. That's why I'm really glad we have a no smoking policy in all the public places like bars and restaurants now. Ugh, the bars were so bad before the nosmoking policy, esp. with people smoking on the dance floor, lit cig in one hand and a bottle of booze in the other, blech!
as a smoker, smoke bothers me when im eating. but if youre going to a bar to get drunk, health isnt really on your agenda anyway. so if you cant deal with cigarettes, dont go to bars.
Isn't that the tobacco industry holding us to ransom? I'm asthmatic, but it doesn't seem to make smokers care any more about the consequences of what they're doing.. They have a smoking ban in the shopping precinct/mall where I live, and an open American-style cafe right in the middle where people are allowed to smoke.. How stupid is THAT???
you're assuming I go to the bar to get drunk, that's not true at all I do get tipsy at hte bar, but I primarily go to dance. Get your heart rate up, physical activity (yes there's more impactful things I could be doing for exercise, but dancing with my girls is FUN!), and to not bend over from coughing so hard (allergic to cigarrette smoke) and to not have to dodge lit cigs on the dance floor is awesome!
hehe, exactly! or to hear music or whatever. not everyone that goes to a bar goes to get drunk and smoke cigerettes.
I heard Dover Downs is smoke free. I hope it's true 'cuase I'm going there oneday if it is true. Maryland is great for non smokers but Virginia sucks. They won't even take it out of all the restaurants.
What I hate more than anything is when a group of people are smoking and I am way away from them and a smoker comes over where I am tries to light up in my face. Why not just go over where all the other carcinogen people are standing? I here all the time about how it's outdoors but there are people that stand in the doorway of the bus, blow the smoke in and walk back to sit donw and blow some in my face. I really hate that!
