i know its a bit late in the day, but happy earth day, with a new year opening spring in the air, all of nature coming out of its slumber. its a beatiful time of the year, so lets keep the earth clean.
Right on. That's exactly what I thought when I first heard about Earth Day: Shouldn't we ALWAYS treat Mother Earth with courtesy and respect?? Not just one day of the year, but 365? Oh well, happy Earth Day!
iam sorry for putting that on the wrong day, the calender i have said that yesterday marcth 20th was earth day. oh well. but ur all right, it really pisses me off to see thease people out there who litter the earth with there garbage.
I think there's two earth days, but like Mommy said, everyday should be Earth day. Although this is off topic, I hate days like Father's Day and Mother's Day. Shouldn't we respect and be kind to every one all the time? Too bad there's only one day per year for the kynd treatment of parents, the Earth, etc... Peace & Love
Well, March 20th was the Vernal (Spring) Equinox, which is celebrated in some countries as the real New Year. So I think your post was perfect. Super Happy Earth Day on the New Year!! but yeah, everyday is earth day. I guess every day is New Year's Day, too. How about Happy New Day? HAPPY NEW DAY TO EVERYONE! No! Earth only gets ONE day! No more than that! Just kidding... I don't understand things like earth day, Christmas, Valentines day, Guy Fawks Day, mother's day, father's Day, etc... Those are things we should celebrate ALL YEAR... But I don't know. But as long as we are giving days to paternals, maternals, romance, and Brittish revolutionaries, we should go ahead and give one to earth too, eh? So how are you all going to celebrate Earth Day?
1 day is 24 hours atleast 8 of them will be spent sleeping 6 of them will be working and 2 of them will be eating. So when you think of it what use is that day to the earth? We need to start earth propaganda! Every day will be earth day. But we shouldn't have to tell people that. They should treat everyday as earth day.
Agreed on the propoganda deal! But not for all of us. My day is speant like: 10 hours sleeping, less than an hour aeating (I am a very fast eater...) But no work or school here. I plan on speanding at least most of the day devoted to picking up litter, and possibly handing out some literature about the enviroment like the bennifits of following the 3 r's, the bennifits of legalized hemp, stuff like that. So I plan on devoting the whole day to saving the earth, rather than just part of it as normal. But not everyone can do that, I suppose. It would be cool if they could though.
You said about litter. If everyone treated everyday as earth day we wouldn't have to worry about litter.
most of the nature where I live came out of its slumber during winter (flowers, birds nesting etc), when are they going to change the first day of spring to compensate for this change in climate.. Happy earth day aswell!
