Many believers ask 'is it just be chance that life should form to the perfection it has today? is it just by chance that earth is the PRECISE distance from the sun with precise gravitation, spin, atmosphere? it it just by chance that all these happened? random?'

    ponder this however:

in the perfect environment for life,

    how could life not exist?

for any reason to which life could not exist would mean that the place subject to question is thus not the perfect environment for life.

thus any environment that life can propagate to the extent it has, WILL propagate to the extent it has.

since we are looking from life's perspective, the ONLY place life can exist is the place it exists in.

there are countless stars in teh galaxy. almost none of them are the right condition for life. the ONLY planet that an 'intelligent' form could assess before all others is that which has the suitable conditions for an intelligent form to form.

The logic of a universe is not a string. that is the logic of the human brain. the logic of the universe is simultaneous. it is a string with no end, a string that meets itself and has no starting point.

    all conditions are simultaneous.

you cannot have perfect conditions for life, yet not have life. for this would mean the conditions are not perfect.

and you cannot have life unless the conditions are right for life to exist that way.

we are not here because earth is perfectly positioned for life. there is no 'because'. just like earth is not perfectly conditioned for life BECAUSE life exists.

the two can only occur simultaneously by the definition of what they are.

this is the falacy of human thought and this example is merely the first one that popped into the author of this post's head.

i hope this can be understood. the human language is a little limitating however.

IF there were no suitable conditions for life in the universe, there would be no life. the only way we CAN exist is if there is a condition suitable.

in the realm whereby there are no suitable conditions, then there is no INEXISTANCE of humans because there is no human to perceive inexistance.

sorry i remembered an important part:

what is the chance that two perfect environments for life would exist ? exponentially less than for one to exist.

thus what is the chance two perfect environments would exist in close proximity? negligably small.

thus, the fact that there are no other observable environments for life should come as no suprise to anyone living IN one of the perfect environments that has resulted from whatever reasons.

    thus, the conclusion!

IF you can accept that is is possible for physical forces leading to an earth in such perfect place in teh universe for life,

then NO MATTER how small or random a chance this may seem,
there is no reason to not see it as 100% possible.

the SMALLER chance you believe the universe can form a perfect environment for life, the GREATER the chance that this is the case!!!

please do not being any sentiments of frustration, insult, bigotry, or any of the sort in here, if you dissagree, then state where. it is minimally possible for there to be no dissagreements, but it is also minimally possible for there to be no overcoming of dissagreements when emotions involve.

if you do not believe in any way that physical forces could result in the planet earth being positioned and composed as it is, then.. go to school ;)

    or alternatively state why

I think the environments are "perfect conditions" for life because life has had to evolve to fit them...the environments were not made right for life, life was made right for the existing environment. For example, if the Earth was closer to the sun, life would not look as it does today, because it would have evolved under those different conditions.

    I really like that StonerBill

but here is what I wonder about.

Say there is Alien life on some planet. On a star... say Alpha Centauri A or B whatever... they will have evolved WAY different than us, so they probably wouldnt have the same 5 senses we have, but maybe 5 senses that we couldnt even begin to comprehend or sense ourselves... so maybe they are looking for us, but with those senses we have no idea about, and because our senses are so strange to them they cant detect us and we cant detect them. We probably wouldnt even be able to see them and they couldnt see us.

Yea, i dont know exactly the point you were trying to make was. Who is say life needs conditions? All you need is water and you can form life, not necessarily human life, but life itself. Scientists believe Mars was just like our planet, and moved too close to the sun, now if we were humans living on that, I'm sure we would die, but what if we didn't? We have no way of proving that, who know's if we could have evolved to withstand the atmospheric changes. I think physical and spiritual forces were behind the making of our planet. To me the whole solar system is a balancing act merely our planet only. All the planets are weights and balances, and continue their orbit so ours is not obstructed. Yes I beleive life here on Earth was intentional, and yes I beleive physical forces created it.

just so ya know, mars is farther away from the sun than earth, in fact, it's about twice as far away. You might be thinking of Venus, which is a similar size to earth but a very different atmosphere. Mars had (has?) water, that's true, though if any is left it's solid ice and underground.

i read somewhere that mars actually had a closer orbit at one point than it does now, which is why the only water that is left is underground and not on the surface. it also would explain why the beleive life is hiding underground in mars because of the atmospheric conditions it had underwent when the orbit got too close to the sun.

I guess I can't answer this question until I know your definition of "life." If "life" means life as we are, then maybe here is the only place we could be. But what if there was an infinite amount of "life" out there that just doesn't appear to be "life" as we see it, but really is?

Mars lost much of it's atmosphere because it didn't have enough gravity to hold a thicker one. The planet is too small. Perhaps it never had a thicker atmosphere, and was only "wet" long ago because the planet itself (internally) was warmer. Is there actually any evidence for it once being closer to the sun?

life needs conditions. thats why it evolves, to be able to find the best conditions. but there are minimum conditions it can function at. chemical processes require certain amounts of energy for chemical reactions to occur. they need heat, they need certain groups of chemicals, air pressures, atmosphere, etc.

although life evolves to match the conditions perfectly, the world as we know it could only exist with these conditions, and thats what im talking about, not the other possible forms of life which could evolve.

If you're talking about belief...because you say "thou art wrong" and then talk about believers saying "Could it happen by chance?"...it's really a question of "the chicken or the egg?" Do conditions create life or does life create conditions? Both are observed to occur. I would say there is no distinction: everything is alive and in certain (or uncertain) conditions. So no it's not really a matter of chance. Life always happens because it's all that ever happens.

Can you prove that everything is alive? Sort of...because if all you are is a system of atoms, and atoms are dead, then you are fundamentally dead. But you're alive, so how can you claim to know a difference?

life is defined by a system which reproduces, respires, consumes, excretes, and grows. there might be some others too, but yeh anyway i dont think you could class everything as involving this.

but that sort of definition should not be necessary.
i think youve missed the point because it is not a question of conditions creating life or life creating conditions. its not a question. it is a logic network which proves itself.

im not even sure we dissagree but i think youve just missed the point fair and square. life always happens because its all that ever happens is true and part of what im saying. except only if you define life as life as we know it on earth, and happening as happening as we know it.

yea like how scientists always look for planets with water and an atmosphere similar to ours, but what if the aliens dont need water? what if they drink something else? or what if they breath in hydrogen and helium instead of oxygen and carbon dioxide?
