Yeah, I don't get this whole 'racist'/p.c. bullshit.

If the word '******' is racist when a white person says it, why is it ok if a black person says it, even if it's pronounced 'nigga' which is SOMEHOW different (am I too white to figure that out?)

****** is racist in context, not the word itself.

Don't listen to anyone who says theres a difference between '******' and 'nigga', they don't have any idea what their talking about, doesn't matter what color they are.

For almost all purposes, I avoid the word because I don't want to be associated with that, but it's just a word. Sometimes I'll call my white friends 'Nigga' at the mall in front of old people. I think it gives them something to think about.

Ive seen black people use the word "******" derrogatory as well....

its kinda silly, though, that black people dont allow white folks to use the word "nigga", when they say it all the time.

 

I think (and this is just my opinion) that it is kinda the same as if you called your mom a fat bitch- its ok. But if someone else calls her that you'd freak out on them.

 

the word ****** is only rascist when you say it in front of a red neck white american an they laugh an tell a ****** joke,,or ya say it in front of a black american an they beat the shit outta ya..

I stopped thinking about this a long time ago. Either the logic is stupid, or it's one of those things that just has to be accepted and forgotten. No one has an answer. Forget it, it's a pointless discussion and a pointless thought.

I agree. That's true with almost any word. I have a friend who loves to throw down cuss words for absolutely no reason. He's not being malicious though, and they're only words, so its not really offensive. However, those same words, if used in a negative context, can be extremely offensive.

 

I guess 'cause you never hear two white guys using it on one another lol.

Well Oprah says that EVERYONE should quit using the word. In music, as a joke, between young black men, between 30 something white women..... every time it is just wrong. There is such a terrible conitation from the past... we need to bury the word because its just plain hurtful and it just represents how the black people were disresepcted and basically completely fucked over ....

I heard something about "taking the word back" , using it to make it lose it power .... but OPrah says "NO" and we all must do what Oprah says.

I do like when Chris Rock calls whites "crackers" "Heeey cracker!" Ohhh Chris Rock is a funny ni... dude.

 

You didn't know? Only bad things happened to blacks. No white person in the history of the earth was treated wrong...ever. We all have it made and can get jobs at the snap of a finger.

 

We have had leaps and bounds in opportunities and have not suffered any systematic OPRESSION so that is the plain difference.
