I love road trips.. I'd take a drive down to Sedona, AZ again with my hubby... I'd take whatever fits in one suitcase (it's all I need) and a few mixed cds my brother made me...
I'd probably go everywhere from coast to coast and criss cross ways. I would take Adam. I would probably bring a lot of bluegrass.
Bill Monroe some Skaggs maybe some of that old time Darlins (Andy Griffth Show fogot their real name) Lots of psychedelic to stay awake and jazz to sleep at night. Coat to coat make a suare and then go diagnal lol.
cool thread take someone who I have great sex with and a great friendship with and my friend and her guy and go to vegas and than ditch her and her boy and go camping for a few nights after on the way back in the sierra nevadas and as for the radio I'm going to have to go between cracking on dr laura and then when she's off the air cheesy 80's music and after smoking a few some tupac and aftermath cd's...nothing funnier than white college educated people from upper middle class families hanging it lhard core gangsta gangsta
where would i go? the boonies. placer, nevada, sierra, alpine, lassen, counties in california, washoe and ormsby counties in nevada. who would i take? whoever wanted to come along. what would i take? muchies, spare vehicular consumables, camping and art supplies, ah, and a camera of course. this is all theoretical of course since i don't currently have a vehicule and not planing to aquire one forseeably, but this is something that i like to do when i do. main thing is i prefer to avoid cities, freeways, and congested driving conditions, and instead wander arround where there are what are to me, far more fun and interesting things to see. prefered vehicule type; small pickup with long bed and camper or shell, or cargo type van, compact or full size. either long enough to lay down and stretch out full length in the back. shortbeds are useless crap, as are sedans. car type wagons are ok too, preferably compacts, but prefer something sturdier built underneath to go boonie crashing. 4wd is usefull but not absolute essential, just a 4 or more speed, granny low, and a big stick to stirr them arround. the old volksie bugs and vans from back in the 60s and 70s worked ok too. =^^= .../\...
I would just drive anywhere. i would end up i dont know where. i wouldnt avoid anything or plan to go anywhere. i would take whoever as long as theyre cool. we would listen to everything in my cd books. I would definately do some country driving. look at some cows and some ostriches.
where the road takes me, I guess. Maybe I´d find the way to Paris or just drive in circles 'cause I´m not good in reading maps *g*. I like to go on trips with my sis, we went on a backpack/train tour few years ago (Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, Texel) and it was the best time I´ve had in years! I simply love to travel!! If it just wouldn´t be so expensive...
Deg. some Bill and Ricky. Yonder and hot buttered rum would keep me up at night! I would go for all bluegrass if I was takin a road trip, never done just bluegrass. Once I'm done with the trip ill be an old hippiehillbilly.
You people that make the no stop rules, come on that's no fun lol. I'm a hinter. Popeye's Pizza Asian food Rest stop soda stop. Plain ole stop. I want a postcard rock and anything else good from all the states.
Id travel Europe stopping at as many culture and interesting people filled cities as possible, taking my boyfriend (or maybe my best friend), plenty of wine, camera films and some music. Id sometimes sleep in whatever vehicle we took, sometimes in random hotels... Id try to meet as many people as possible, and see as many monuments as possible...Id probably go from spain through france, italy, germany...all the way to moscow Xx
i vote for all of the above. have done all of them, depends on the trip, man. going on a road trip this summer if i can get august off. anyone want to go on an adventure?
I would just get in my car and drive to where ever the road takes me, stop where ever looks interesting. I would bring a few good friends, some smoke and a good variety of music...... ok, now I am ready for summer!!!!!! I want to road trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's about the journey, not the destination.. I'd take my boy, and lots and lots of Jack Johnson, Bruce Springsteen and Patti Smith.
