I often have this dream in which I suddenly remember that I haven't fed/ given water to my pet(either a small bird or rodent...always in a cage) in ages. I rush over to the cage and sometimes the pet is dead, and other times it has reproduced and is surrounded by sickly looking offspring. I've never even had a bird before, but the dream image of a bird's skeleton sitting on a perch really freaks me out! I had a pet rat as a child, but I looked after it really well and it died of natural causes. It is recurrent(at least once a week) so I wonder if it might have some sort of meaning? I am always horrified to see the sick/ dead pet, and dread having to dispose of the corpse. Any help is appreciated, thanx in advance!

Yeah ive had these dreams...think ive recorded a few on here...although its never usually ME who's neglected the pet, but a friend or neighbour. No idea what they could mean...Someone you feel responsible for who you fear is unhappy? Area of our lives we feel weve neglected? Possibilities are endless.

Hi rubicon, here is another suggestion.

Just try and go deeper into the dream ... honour the bird for having taken the role ... release her from your own desire to feed and be fed ... give the corpse back to earth ... know you as well are complete now and free to let go, and fly.

Imagine you are the source of the dream, much like a spring of clear water.

The fun part is to practise it in waking life mainly when you feel like missing something. Go with your gut feelings then and with the love that is yours, and trust into the lessons. Remember that you are the source ... walk in the wonder of being here ... grow on ...

    Blessings
