What to look for in good acid?

Hey fella's
Im gonna take my first trip in a couple of weeks and Ive been looking forward to it for frecking ages, but I dont know what to look for in good acid, I read a older post that some bloke was taking a 100 mircograms, and I have no idea what that is.. My mates have done it before but I havnt asked them yet if they know.. so what I wanna know is what is good and what is lame? like colour of tabs, taste, smell, how quckly in comes on etc... just anything that can help me make a good assumption before I spend my hardearned moo-la! Also any tips while Im on it?

100 micrograms is .1 milligram which is splitting a gram into ten thousand parts. thats how much acid youre hoping for. if you can detect (accurately) the quality of that quantity (or even just the quantity lol) with your external senses then kudos to you

Since its my first time, do you recommend a half tab or what? my friends reckon half but I think, if your gonna do it .. do it right .. yeah? allllllso how the the shit hold up to heat? if I transported it in my jacket pocket or something .. would it still work?

 

LSD doesnt like like heat. Try keepin it in an airtight container too...

Half a tab migh be lame go for 1 or 2.

100 mcgs is equivalent to around 3-4g of shrooms in lots of people, but you are lucky if you get blotter that strong.

 

dont just take a half tab, if there made into each individual hits then take at least a whole 1 cause i can tell u half isnt goin to be enough to get intense visuals or a strong headchange or anything
and if anything take 2 to get some strong visuals out of it

 

your an idiot most lsd blotter is about 150-200 micrograms and acid is nothing like mushrooms

man - don't give eanyone advice to take 1 or 2 hits for the first time !! - where is your responsibility towards other people DUDE! ... i really don't like kids like you messing arround with genuin info! you know nothing on there plans - maybe they wanna use it in new york out on the streets and you'll be the one that adviced a kid to take 2 hits the first time in new york out on the streets. 1/2 is enough to feel great effects - 1 hit is good when all is well and the user is on a constant safe place ... after that you can choose whatever you do - 1 - 2 - 10 hits - up to you ...

but please man - don't go bullshitting and tell people that know nothing to take 1 - 2 hits the first time - that really get's me angry!!

Yeah 2 hits i see what you mean. But 1 , he might get a bit nervous I guess at most. Ok theres the possibility of a strong hit (like you say, 1/2 giving great effects)...but...whadyawant taking drugs has to be risky sometimes when you dont know the dose, which with lsd is not a rare case.


I took 2 hits the first time not knowing anythin bout the stuff, thinkin of my usual trippy mushroom rides. And I got a lesson for my irresponsability...And this painful lesson of much greater power than you , I think its important at least one time in life...It happens if it happens but yeah, preferably not in the streets of new york, and not because of a stupid advice you believed ;p

 

2 is a hell of alot more fucked up than 1 i would say one in a half thhe only bad thing would be that you were left with only a half of a dose

If they got three, they could split it one and a half each. The reason that taking two was suggested was that these days a lot of shitty hits are goin around, and you would need to take two to have a decent experience. My first time, I could have taken probably around five, and had it equal a ++ experience.

I would try and find out from people who have had the same batch how it was for them, and then decide.

 

yea some shit is strong as fuck 2 hits of fluff will make your fucking head spin. But it sucks when you eat only a hit and turns out to be week than your like fuck that was a waste specially if its hard for the person to come around. I would rather trip balls than have my shit wasted.

 

most acid is well under 100mcg. some very good "fluff" hits may be close to 150mcg. then again, MOST acid is around 30-70mcg.

taking half a hit is pointless. if someone is that scared of tripping then they shouldn't be tripping. if someone is into it and starts enjoying their trip, then they will be sitting there beating themselves up saying "why the FUCK did i take half a hit. this is shitty--just a head change and barely ANY visuals... man, this is fun but i wish i had taken a real dose in order to experience..."

i'm an advocate of diving right in. i started with 300mcg and have never experienced an acid trip that powerful since... don't tease yourself with half a hit. either do LSD or don't; there's no point in just barely doing it. no one has to take 300mcg the first time. but intentionally taking only 30mcg (or similar) is the most frustrating thing in the world, i promise...

...from my own experience, my WORST trip ever was the one and only time that i took 1 hit (i'm guessing it was around 50mcg). the entire trip i regretted not having taken 2 or 4. also, since 1 hit wasn't enough to override my ego, my thoughts remained in reality but were slightly magnified in a BAD way because of the small amount of acid; i felt mostly normal, but my thoughts were bordering insane. i kept forgetting that i had even taken acid, so it just made me depressed to be slightly-normal and slightly-tripping. interestingly, the BEST trips come from the higher doses...
that's when your smile breaks free of your face.

i've NEVER had a bad experience with a high dose.


P.S. to the OP: you're in New Zealand. you're 19. go out to the beach or into the mountains and have the fucking time of your life. don't stay in the house, whatever you do, since it leads to introspection. nature, outdoors, will blow your mind. you're at the perfect age and NZ has all the beauty you could ever ask for.... you're going to have so much fun, especially if you take 1+ hits. trust it.

I couldn't agree more. If your honestly thinking about taking half a tab, don't do it. Your wasting acid for those who really want to experience something. depends on the acid. I once took half a hit of "jesus christ" acid (would've taken more, but it was all he had, and they were 10 bucks each), and that felt like 2 or 3 white fluffs.

I'd recommend 1 hit of plain jane white fluff, for a beginner; then two the next time. a psychedelic dose of 4+ hits after that, no use pussy-footin' around with the gigglies and slight distortions.
