I was in school today when it struck me how totatly stupid the whole idea is. They say we're rebels because we arn't wearing out uniform properly (infact I had to explain to one of my vice principles that revolutions are built on bigger things than top buttons today), we have to wear a uniform!! The only point of a blazer and skit (SEXIST!!!) is to control our minds and make us think in unison. It's like a prision for young people!! It's as if it's a crime to be under 18! They make us work our fingers to the bone learing things like algebra (when did letters join the number line?!?), not life skills-things that we need to learn. then, as if we don't do enough work in school, we get litterly hours of it to do at home. The teachers can yell at us until they're blue in the face, but a slightly raised tone in return has us in detention, it just doesn't make sense. And then there's the 'pastrol care team'. They act as if they really care about our problems but they're the ones creating them by being constantlyon our backs, ready to pick up on any imperfection. If we have a tiny bit of eye make-up on the pounce on us like a ton of bricks, despite them having inches of blue on their eyey, red on their cheeks and pink on they're lips, it's just not fair!!! It's as if they're taking out their problems on the students because they feel they have athourity over us, they enjoy crushing our spirits, they're jelous of them because they're so boring.
geez...either your school really sucks, or your making it seem way worse then it really is either way, uniforms really blow. glad i never had to wear em
My school is just as bad. I really understand, but I don't know what to do. I feel very similarly. Welcome to the forums! There's a lot of cool people here you'll really like.
Not to be mean, but before you cough up another one of these arguments, make sure you know how to spell "literally", organize a paragraph, and begin your post with a thesis statement, ending with a conclusion. It'll make it a little easier to read next time. And that's why you go to school. Majority of the time, they have authority over you for a reason. Alot of them go to college and major in psychology, education, etc. and have the ability to control a class and make it a condusive learning environment, then again, classes have personalities of their own, people have personalities of their own, and some people are just assholes. It's not the teachers, it's not the education, it's not the system. It's the people. Yeah, uniforms do suck rather hard. It'd be so easy if the school just put the students on a payroll.... say two dollars an hour (though teachers are salary, but you never know when a student will skip) just so nobody would have to put up with any whining and complaining, then when you don't do something right, you're fired.
i agree completely with damn_karma! you know what, you and i seem to think alike; it is almost as if we have known eachother all our lives!
Clearly they arn't doing a very good job of teaching english then!! The worst thing about our school is how sexist they are. Girls have to wear skirts and boys have to wear trosures, so we have to freeze. It goes against the Sex Descrimination Act of 1975. And they make us sit boy girl in all of the classes, then stand in front of us and tell us everyone is equal. Just a tad hypocritical. Our rules need to be well gone thriugh and drastically fixed.
here does anyone hate prefects as much as me? i mean they do nothing but bitch at us and give special treatment to their mates!
i get this ... my school is the same way... everyonce in a while i will arrive about 18 seconds late... the teacher will close the door to class so close to me it stubs my toe... then they open the door a crack and say "sign in" resulting in detention... this morning our teacher was 20 minutes late for class for whatever reason... we assumed it was an off class and everyone left... then we were all called back because we were "skipping"... it seemed a bit odd to me
