does anyone know what the deal is with online survey sites like student-opinion.org? theres a $30 membership fee and then apparantly you due surveys for market research. i have been known to be a sucker for these types of things and it sounds to good to be true, but i am broke and in school so if its real i would give it a shot. thanks!

well if there's a membership fee, what other deal does there need to be with them, they've got your thirty bux, or whatever it might happen to be. buyer be ware certainly, and never pay for something like that with your credit card numbers. this is just too obvious. if you do, well it's more like giving away your identity, not just having it stolen!

if your broke you'll be a lot more broke, and out you 30 bux besides.

the ones that don't ask you to pay up front, well obviously they want to put a bunch of crap on your desk top that just by it's being there is an attempt to sell you something. this is a way of trolling for names to add to mailing lists.

that's generaly the catch with any kind of 'give away', on the computer or elsewhere.
