Hello, I would love to put some beautiful funky hair wraps in my dreads. They are so cool, and I would like to have a chakra hair wrap and light purple one. The question is how do I go about doing it? Is it just thread that I wrap over and over around the hair. Anyone got good links or how to's? I love to make it happen on my head. You might wanna try looking around to find someone who can do it. I can make some really awesome hair wraps, but I can't really put them in my own hair. They never stay in, or else they're too tight and end up pulling my hair out. It's not hard to do, so I'd suggest you get a friend to do it.
Thanks for the reply. I couldnt find anyone in Arizona that does them. I still would like to learn how to do it. It would be an excellent trade to learn.
Try Pow Wow's or Renaisance Festivals, things of that nature. I get one every year at the Ren Faire. I am amazed that the one I got last August is still in. Usually they come out in 4 or 5 months. You can also look at "Made With Love" by Elizabeth Peace Zipern. It has detailed directions for how to do it. Kathi
