I have recently discovered Rancid thanks to a friend at school.... they are brilliant! If you like The Clash mixed with a bit of The Specials then they are for you. Some of the guitar is sooooo Mick Jones in style yet it is still original. Any other fans?

Rumour has it that lead singer Tim Armstrong has left Rancid (and the transplants) to join The Clash.

If you like Rancid then checkout The Transplants, very good in a different way.

I really like Rancid especially the Wolves album

I have a friend who's obsessed by the, because of him it had to happen I kinda started to like them too. so I did:sunglasse, they're cool. have you seen some of their live perfomances? that singer guy hangs his guitar way too low to actually play it effectively, I don't like that. why does he put that guitar around his neck if he can't play it anyway? gimmick?

    Tim Armstrong calls himself Lint.

Rancid CD's to listen to: ...And Out Come the Wolves
    Let's Go!
    Life Won't Wait
    Rancid (self-titled)
    They're new shit's getting weak, so I wouldn't bother

But if you like them then try out Lars Frederickson and the Bastards (Guitarist from Rancid)

Here's a great punk band with chick lead singer for you uneducated children:
    Tsunami Bomb
Fucking great music, better live show. The Ultimate Escape is their only full length EP so I would recommend everyone who wants to be surprised to pick it up.

Rancid are decent. A little too cheesy, but plenty of decent songs.

Brody Dalle is one fucking sexy woman!

The Transplants, Rancid and Op Ivy are all super great. Op Ivy is my favorite of the three though.

None taken. I've heard Distillers before, quite a few times actually, and its blah. Mediocre, I think. SOmething about it throws me off. I even missed a little of Big D and the Kids Table at Warped Tour a few years ago to check out Distillers with my old girlfriend and thought they plain sucked. It's nothing new at all, just punk recycling punk + a boisterous chick
