Perfect plants eh? BTW, walls coated in Mylar, with 4 fans to move air and AC coming in during the light times. Pictures soon of the highly abused test plants before they went into the box.
I always wanted to grow a good strain of invisible marijuana..... Right now I got this strain of disappearing cannabis, it seems to get smoked about as fast as it dries out. Can't figure out why we never get anything done around here... Smoking afghani like it's candy No really, Im going to be serious for a sec. Im running two 600w hps, air cooled lights in a 6x4 area. My curculation is very low at the moment- due for upgrade within days... ( there is actually small traces of PM floating around in there- he he he) My walls were mylar- I recently drywalled them, and primer'd them with KILLZ last weekend. Soon i will coat them with titanium white high gloss enamel. I figure the walls will be easy to wash down during the breakdowns now. Spidermites have been hitch hiking in on my cats- the cats are moving up the hill with us- the cat door is closing- and a time-mist dispenser will be installed with pyretriums in it. I also have a 1000 watt halide sitting here on standby- for when i move out on the first. April is blowout the walls month. Im adding another budroom- You see i have another 6x4 room back there- but it's a veg chamber. I need another budroom to keep up with my veg chamber. So im adding another 1000 watts- but the only ballast i have is halide. So i figure i'll try out one of the "warm halide" bulbs on the market. See how it compares to the sodiums. In fact if i switch my veg to flouro's- that would free up another 1000 watt halide. I may blow the budroom out to 5 x 18.........3200 watts- maybe even 3 seperate dividers that can be pulled down like curtains- but only when breeding three different strains.
Wow, that's gonna be a big setup. Sadly I don't have the space or the comfort level to harvest big crops indoors. I'm trying to perfect the art of guerilla growing at this time. I live in a very rural and very warm southern climate. Planting season here is March-May if you were to choose to plant outdoors. My plan is to plants and grow indoors into the 4th or 5th week of the vegetative stage and then transplant into the outdoors. All seeds obtained from Dutch seedery, all of them designed either exclusively for outdoor growth, or indoor/outdoor hybrids. Tested 8 seeds, got 8 plants, tortured plants. Potting soil is worst I could find, Ace Hardware potting soil. Planted them in plastic cups in cold, lows in lower 40 Fahrenheit range. Left in natural 12-13 hr sunlight plants survived despite additional early factors like over fertilization and severe over watering. Daytime highs were low 70s. After 1 week plants were taken inside and placed in a dark closet for 48 hrs. Plants then put back outside for two days. Plants then taken back inside and place under 2 60 watt floures lights for 48 hrs. Plants now tested for underwatering capability. Left outside and unwatered for 6 full days, plants seem to thrive, they are now about 5-6 inches high with 3-4 sets of main leaves. Construction of 6' x 4' grow room completed. Plants violently transplanted: Plant and dirt literally squezzed upside down out of plastic cup onto a wooden deck in the sun. Plants picked up from dirt piles and roots extracted via vigorous shaking. Plant and roots dropped into new 5" x 5" peat cups and miracle grow moisture control potting mix poured overtop of roots and dirt suppressed around bottom of plant to enable it to stay up straight. Each plant watered and sprayed before placed into grow box. Lights left on first 24 hrs and plants watered again before a 10 hr dark cycle begins. All plants lived, in fact they continued to grow and never drooped. Plants began 14 hr day/ 10 hr night cycle 6 days ago and have almost doubled in size in 6 days. I guess what I meant to say is, these plants are like roaches, you'd have to pour weed killer on em, hehe. Anyways, I will plant 16 bushes a week. By the 4th week I will have 55-64 plants going and I will take the first planting out and transplant it outside. I continue this process for 12 weeks where I will transplant the last 16 plants ouside and be left with none growing in the growbox and a maximum of 128 plants growing in multiple locations. So starting on the 4th week I head outdoors once each weekend. Plants kept on a 14 hr/10 hr day to night ratio to mimic the outdoor light and prevent any shock flowerings from occuring. Watering every 3 days after the first week, no deviation unless the plants show wilting from underwatering. For the outdoor transplanting I dig a 1' x 1' hole and I fill the hole with additional miracle grow moisture control soil, plant the peat pot directly into the hole, and douse the site with 1 gallon of water. Natural soil is sandy which is good for growth, but I may have issues with elevated PH levels because of excess pine trees in area. I may apply some sort of compost over the base of the plant... not sure yet (Small amount) and I may dig the original hole larger to prevent root growth from reaching it till later. 1 month lasting bio degradable pesticide sprayed lightly on each plant (pesticide applied once per month lightly). Plants to be visited once every 2 weeks until harvest. First visit to each site plants to be checked for any signs of female/male and males are to be removed from site and destroyed unless I decide one site is to produce seeds. (Actually, this might not happen for another month but I'll be looking for it from the start. It's entirely possible the plants, because they were on a 14/10 schedule will be getting MORE light when they hit the outdoors, I would go 16 but I don't want shock flowering.) Also on first visit the plants are to be topped and pruned. The second visit to each site the plants are to be fertalized (One month outside) and about ready to start flowering. The only deviation from schedule will be due to a drought of rain, which is unlikely. By July the plants should be getting almost daily brief but strong rainfall. Upsides Controlled growth in optimal environment for first month of plants vegetative stage ensuring a strong healthy and hardy plant upon transplant outdoors. Ability to eventually get a MUCH higher harvest despite loss of plants due to wrong sex or the perils of outdoor growth (Pests, Varments, Animals). Outdoor plants grow much larger than indoor plants, if properly topped an outdoor plant come yield in excess of 500 grams if it was allowed to reach its full growth potential on a natural time frame. Shortened indoor grow period, alleviating risk that your setup will be detected by outsiders. Don't forget, the smell factor of the flowering period is eliminated from the equation. Downsides Plant loss. On top of losing some males I'm always at risk to lose plants to bugs or animals and there is always a very slight possibility that a plant site may be found by outsiders and either destroyed or harvested before you get the chance to smoke it. The upside is, lets say I lost the majority of the crop of 120+.... losing say 70 plants. That still leaves 50+ plants, each of which conservatively (if there was a real issue with water) will yield around 400 grams each. 50x400=20,000 grams or 44 pnds of better than crappy commercial pot. The funny thing is, I won't sell any. I'll get like a 50 gallon freezebox, some vacuseal freeze bags, and have enough quality pot to last me... well.... forever. lol. And everywhere I go, I'll do my best to get somebody stoned for free. It's not easy driving down long dirt roads in middle of nowhere, carrying supplies and plants to transplant, and then following up with scheduled visits and performing more onsite work. Also, if water becomes a problem, water is heavy. Maybe this should be an upside, exercise is good and maybe I'll get a tan! There exists the slim possibility of a complete loss, it's called a category 3 hurricane direct hit. Soil problems associated with excess PH levels because of the large number of pine trees in the area.
I started guerilla growing in the 70's It's a pain in the ass. I lost a crop to fires, next year the rabbitts and deer in a new grow area got insane. Got tired of setting up drip systems to have a fire ravage it, ect ect ect.... I Decided I'll grow indoor and enjoy the security level. It has been an interesting journey for sure..... Im hoping to get my own land, and I'll grow outdoor again. That's kinda why im pumping up the system soon- so i can run three or four strains and have 10 females budding of each strain. Otherwise there just isnt enough smoke from a plant or two- and i like my variety. If i end up producing a few lb's a month then I'll buy some land much sooner than by banging nails... But if I keep bangin nails in the meantime ,I'll be on some land by summer..... Because I really want to be putting these girls outside and letting them rip in 4x4 holes.----
i hope you get your land soon.....i also hope that i could live on your weed farm but i know that ain't happenin' ssssooooo....yeah i got nothin'
