Hi there, when i was in the dam i noticed that when you buy a pre-rolled joint the roach often always had a W shaped peice of paper within the roach, was just wondering if anyone knows if this is done using the one peice of roach, or is the small W shape done seperatly and then pushed in? I tried using the one bit of roach but it did not work very well! I should really have just taken it out and looked myself, but was propbably too stoned to bother!

    thanks

Those litter w's are filter tips, and the reason that they're shaped the way they are is so that they'll be 'springy'... You can push them in the end of the joint folded, then they'll spring up and lock themselves in place... in theory.

I could never do it properly, I would just roll joints my way. (w/no filter tips)

all u do is get ur roach (i recommend being a snob and buying a roach/tip/filter book) and either tear a bit off, fold it into a 'Z' shape and then put this in the end of ur roach so it springs out and holds.

But even easier just get your roach, make a small fold (about 3-4mm) depending how wide you like ur roach, then another to again make an 'S' or 'Z; shape and then roll your roach so the 'S' is on the inside forming an in built roach guard.

I now do this as standard practice, dead easy and works every time, havnt inhaled any baccy for years!

When I roll my joints, I fold up the ends like a paper airplane and that works well to hold in the res.
