Note: Louis (Ludwig) II was a king of Bavaria who built a huge beautiful fairy castle and put all his effort to maintain peace in Germany, he was later declared insane, deposed, and died mysteriously. This poem is dedicated to his memory. Someone says you were mad, Someone says you are the fairy tale, You tried to be what you wanted to be, The Sun King's great deeds you could see Thus I call u by the name Louis (prounounced loo'e). Though medieval time was far gone, Knighthood perpetuates in what you've done, How much dream was in your swan? Your castle recalled how much roman'e, Which the Machiavellian had none. A king of your own shangri-la, While wanted to save Bavaria, And wanted peace no war, You once lived in another world, Which is now too far.
