possible sentences for smuggling over the border

I was just wondering, at the airport, if they search you and happen to find some on you, what do they do? Take it off you and let you on your flight, or a much more serious consquence?

 

Depends on where you're flying IN to.

USA hell no! England, no problems. I believe it's nothing more than a simple fine if you get caught coming into England.

thats surprising in a way too. I understand the laws are more laxed but heathrow is also one of the most technologically advanced airports.

 

Up to 10 grammes in the UK at the airport and you'll have no worries...over that and it may get reported to magistrates court/fine...etc...depends on the day really...I've walked away with nothing more than a verbal caution with 80 g's on me...

 

My mate got caught with 10g and 3 bags of mushrooms in Schipol airport and they just took it of him. But I guess because he was still in Holland it wasn't illegal to have those things. Who knows. Just thought I'd tell you.
