I want to plan a romantic dinner for my bf soon, complete with candles and drinks. I'm not much of a drinker but I want a nice wine or champagne to go with our meal (most likely chicken of some sort). What is a good drink that is tasty, romantic, and goes good with pretty candles?

Depends on what you like. I am chardonnay fan. Most red wines are romantic seeming, but many don't truly appreciate the taste. If you aren't a big wine fine, a nice wite wine is sweet, and most will enjoy it pretty well. I personally think that anything can be made romantic. I would be just as happy with warm beer, as long as I was spending quality time with my girl.

I'd go for champagne. Add a drop of red food coloring to the bottom of each of your champagne glasses before dinner when he's not looking. Then when you pour the champagne, it'll have a bit of a reddish hue. Might be cheesy but could be fun too.

My boyfriend cooked me a romantic candle-lit dinner. It was really nice and very unlike us! Don't worry about Champagne, I'd say do like we did and just go with a nice bottle of Red Wine. You can't go wrong with Red wine for a romantic dinner ;)

I was about to say a nice bottle of wine... A rule of thumb is white wine goes best with vegetarian, seafood and white meat meals, and red wine with red meat and spicy foods...
