Anyone else as deathly afraid of these things as I am? If only there wern't so friggin many it'd probably be better. But as it is....
Not spiders, no. It is kinda creepy when they walk across your skin unexpectedly, but they don't scare me.
baby spiders? gnaw they tend to stay out of the part of the ship that's within life support they just live out in the cargo hold where the're no problem to anybody even when i need to dig something out they pretty much behaive themselves and stay out of the way =^^= .../\...
the average person eats 8 spiders in their life during their sleep. they dont really bother me, but sometimes they do. i guess its the frame of mind im in at the time. mice, on the other hand are even more extreme than that. one day i will catch a mouse and play with it and set it free and all that hippie shit and the next day i wont even go near a room because i spotted a mouse in it. im wierd.
You wouldn't want to live in my neck of the woods. We've got so many spiders-if I could export the damn things and sell them I could get rich. Years ago, my old girlfriend and I were in our old house and a humongous tarantula that was about 8 inches wide, including legs, started crawling across the ceiling. I rushed to get my hornet spray that had a strong jet to spray on it, and it instantly knocked it down dead. My GF used to serve in the Chinese Army in the middle of the jungle, and she said they didn't even have spiders that big there. After that I was reading about tarantulas, and there are places in South America where tarantulas routinely get as big as two feet wide, including legs. That's a whole helluva lot of spider, folks.
i bet that would make a really good dinner, if you knew how to prepare it right. a spider that big, you ccould take it apart and not have to eat the exoskeleton or the head or the poison. pure spider goodness on your plate. ive never tried spider, but thats about the only way id eat it. only the meaty parts.
Yum yum. I hear some of the natives along the Amazon eat those big ass spiders, they also eat fried mosquitos. I wasn't interested in eating that tarantula, though-I just wanted to kill the damn thing before it carried both of us away.
