Willow Violated Weeping willow bent in prayer shivering, shivering shaking in un-delighted invasion of limbs once its own. Never touched in naked lust of lightly brushing fingers. Undone shedding leaves on a ravishing wind's demands. No and no falls to the ground unheard by rabbit hole window passers-by and high above the beat up grassy floor. It can take no more, before pieces break and fall away lost and new. Ripped from the root left to mourn and cleanse the dirt from the core.
I found your poem heartfelt & very powerful. http://www.whitedragon.org.uk/articles/willow.htm http://www.geocities.com/willow542000/willow.html
i thought that was really beautiful. what was the willow a metaphor of? I was thinking maybe Mother Earth or something, but what was your intention as an author?
poetry should evoke whatever the reader feels and decides, but since your asking as the author. It's a metaphor for a woman. but your interpretation works very well also and that in itself is the wonderful thing about poetry the ability evolve and have as many meanings as there are readers. thank you both for your commpliments.
i loved the words you chose to illustrate such a beautiful situation and story. it flowed very well and the metaphor was uniquely indifferent and could be interpreted in many ways....in short..awesome poem!
