This is our second trip there in a year! LOVED it the first time last August - and got all the museums and art and tourist stuff out of the way. This is just a lost weekend as we will be there until May 1st. I need some tips from you fabulous people - I love this site! We are a couple of 40 year old funksters - still cool - still stoners. Please advise on the following: *What the weather might possibly be like. For packing purposes. *We are staying right in the middle of everything - so we walk everywhere.....but we want to get out of the city for an afternoon and actually see the flowers! Is this a good time to do it? Any suggestions on how and where to go? I don't want to waste a day going in the wrong direction when I could have stayed in the city and had more fun. *Ummmmm......any other ideas for our short stay - being that we got the touristy stuff out of our system the first time. Many many thanks for your help! ......... AlliKat
Well its beginning to feel more and more like spring everyday, although this week was considerably colder than last week. I say pack light winter clothing and some clothing more suited for spring, during the day with the sun out it feels warm with a cool breeze but at night it can get rather cold.
You cant really predict April weather (but since itll be close to May im pretty sure you dont have to expect snow), so i guess layers is the best option. Its the best month to see the flowers and all, or so ive heard cause i never actually go see them myself. Most famous place to do so is the Keukenhof, south of Amsterdam, north of Leiden, shouldnt be a problem to get there with public transport.
