This is not a pressing, thought provoking issue, mmmmmmmmmmK? But I saw a commercial with that irritating, hard-on-the-eyes, conceited, self-righteous Dr. Phil on it. They were actually saying that if you used their service, he would somehow help you find a companion. As if that's a good thing.

I can hardly think of anything more irritating than having Dr. Phil babbling over your shoulder as you scope out the singles scene. OMG. OK. Maybe having him coach you through child birth would be slightly more irritating. Maybe equal. I don't know.

He's so gross. Why would he be an auhtority? You'd think they'd want someone sexy to do it, or at least not repulsive. LOL.

It would be like having that Kevorkian guy have a cooking show.

It would be like having Janet Reno teach a stripping class.
It would be like having Richard Simmons lead you in meditation.

because he gets paid millions upon millions to act like he knows everything there is to know about peoples problems. sometimes he does give good advice, but that doesnt apply to everyone.

Sooo...you're saying that he is being presented like an authority on romance because he thinks he knows everything...or what?

    He's just so annoying.

Next I suppose he'll come out with his own line of cosmetics.

I agree with you, I mean if he was a real psychologist in the first place, what in the world you make you think that talking on national television about your personal problems would make thing better, and secondly I maybe the only one but I still believe that there is only one person out there that is right for you and I know that Dr. Phil would not be help in my love life. P.S. Levi I like how you compared it to Janet Reno teaching a stripping class that was funny.

So your whole premise to your argument against Dr.Phil is that he isn't physically attractive to you?

    Wow.Just wow.

Hear that people? Only the "pretty" people are allowed to be involved in love advice and the dating scene.

and yet, somehow, he manages to stay married to his wife, who seems to be a decent person

    strange.

most of the time i cant stand dr phil, but once in a while he'll say something that i totally agree with.

I actually found Dr. Phil to be a great help. He did have alot of true advice that I used to deal with family issues, etc. Of course, that was back, what ... over 4 years ago? I think he was sincere about people... at first. But that all changed. His show isnt the same and he isnt the same... My personal opinion is that he "sold out" to appeal to the masses.... its just another form of entertainment. I wouldnt watch it now.

He reminds me kind of like Simon Cowell or Jerry Springer. People liked certain parts of their act, and so they intensified them until there was nothing left. I didn't exactly like any of them from their beginnings, but they just got worse and worse.

I have been in the USA and I have watched Jerry's show. I think that it personifies the worst and unmoral part of americans, but this part is not small, unfortunately. About Dr. Phill - very good moneymaker and hipocrite.

But...then...what about the people who buy this book and deify him...? We can not stigmatize all of them as idiots. I have no idea why do they believe him. Do U have?
