i have posted in several different fourms about the horses in the caribbean needing help. i have personally put my money where my mouth is.

and am about to do the same again

TO ANYBODY out there than can properly care for and afford a horse that needs help.

I WILL BUY one of these poor animals down here and give it to you. all you have to do is get it shipped to you. and the shipping cost dependign on where you live will probably be less than buying a horse back state side anyways.

so come on heres your chance.to actually help an animal in a place where they have no protection what so ever.

Alot of us live in cities and our type of housing does not allow horses. Also many of us cannot afford it.

then what about .87 you know cost of a stamp and 50 cent piece. people say they care about things but then just make excuses why they cant help.

50 cents from a guy working at burger kings is more meaningfull than 1 million from bill gates.

First of all, what's the problem with the horses down there? What kind of protection are they needing?

I have the land and am looking for horses but this sounds a little fishy to me if your willing to buy them and simply GIVE them to us as long as we pay for shipping.

Are you saying all a horse costs is a 50 cent peice sent through the mail??? I don't get it. no comprende.

ok gringo, just saw your other thread. What a sad thing.

unfortunately, we can get horses much cheaper than the $1700 it would cost to ship them here. I wish I help.

Gringo ... try contacting some 4-H horse club groups in the states ... this would be a good project area for them. Back in my earlier teens I wanted so badly to "adopt a horse" from the BLM (bureau of land management) and tame/train it. where we lived then was ideal to keep a horse, and I had the motivation and knowledge to do it then plus I had been saving to buy a horse (it never did happen) ........ but I dont have the means to do anything now. But what Im saying is.... saving a horse would appeal to teens with a love for horses. And some 4-H groups love tackling projects that make a difference. They could pull fundraisers and stuff for the money.

    Best of luck,
    -jamie

We do care gringo, but as some have said already we have nowhere to keep a horse. I've always wanted a horse, but practicality won't allow it, so I do my bit by supporting a horse charity. My donation goes towards rescuing horses that have been cruelly treated, abandoned or simply need to retire and live out their days in comfort. I feel your frustration and sympathise.

i really believe that horses are the most abused domestic animal. we work them, we race them, we ride them, we keep them in tiny stalls (of course this does not apply to everyone.) i spent some time with a friend over a summer and her family is into harness racing. i would meet her alot at the stalls and those poor horses...they would only come out of their stalls to race, to get a bath, or to train. and during training they would be smacked in the bum with a whip thing. i hated it. i would help if i could but i do not have the means to care for a horse and being totally broke right now (im taking a stray cat to the vet for surgery and it's going to cost me alot) i cant donate. but it's good to see that people DO care about them and are doing their best to help.

This is smelling suspicisously like SPAM. I am closing the thread. To the OP, please do NOT start any more threads on the SAME subject, this is against forum gudilines.

Also, bullying people into giving you money is just poor form. Even if you are on the Up and Up (and I am not sure) most Americans do not live in areas which are zoned for farm animals.

    Consider this a warning.
