extremley flatttered but very embarassed

a couple weeks ago we had an egg donor company come in and speak about egg donation in my psych of sexuality class. At break the lady came up to me gave me her card and said I had 'prefered genetic traits and would be highly demanded' and to give her a call.
Of course I didn't as I could not imagine having a child that was half mine and not wanting to feed it and hold it and teach it how to read and have the next little primadonna, peacecorps volunteering phd. SO I said no.
SHe found my email over the internet and offered me 10k per treatment and 15k if I score high on an iq test (i already know I scored very high as a teenager). One treatment is one month. I still tell her no but I am flattered and that my friends have similar genetic traits and are in similar careers, good looking ect and will pass the word around ( I didn't because I was too embarassed about being solicited).
Anyway this same woman was on campus this morning I say hi and she approaches me and says 'you have perfect facial symetry' please help change a womans liufe and we can change yours. I say no that I am too maternal to let an egg go and that it's not just an egg to me. This was in front of 4 girlfriends and a guy I used to date so now I'm just embarassed and I feel like this woman is stalking me for my eggs.
My mom says I should do it that there are a lot of women who cant concieve and then she told me my iq was 163 when I was 15 and that she had people coming up to her a couple of years ago wanting to buy my eggs and that I would be able to buy an house in cash ect.
I do not want to sell my eggs lol my eggs are my eggs for me and my future. i could not stomach having a child out there who I would never get to breastfeed or give a bath to or read to. Am I being selfish and stupid and am I wrong for feeling like I'm being violated for being stalked for my eggs?

 

Your mother had people coming up to her wanting to buy your eggs? Haha I'm sorry but that's the funniest thing I've heard in a long time.

yes!!! hah she said we were in Catalina when I was 18 I had a slip and fall accident on the boating dock and a lot of people rushed over to make sure I was okay. I said something funny I guess, got up and laughed it off but my knee skinned really bad. This man and woman came up to me and said I was exactly what they were looking for and asked my mom if she had any childhood photos of me d: hahhhhhhhhh


Another time she said her former boss who could not concieve and was persian and wanted a biracial baby. I was 19 at the time and she was working with an agency and they offered to pay my way through school for my eggs.

This is all very strange I am very average looking but I had my face profile done in a psychology class a couple years back and I was the only one in the class who came up with perfect symmetery, which I guess is what they look for...very weird now if they only knew about my mental health lol.

I so don't have it going on. I am just photogenic I'm pretty damn average looking thanks though and you're a good looking guy and very smart you'd get far more than 30

 

AHAHAHA. crazy, man. there must be a LOT of infertile females in socal. they're big on hitting the college campuses for some reason. i dunno, i guess that makes sense: prime of life, smart enough to go to college, usually glad to have some extra cash and not yet maternal enough to care where their eggs are going. i got hit up in the same psych of human sexuality class.

 

lyns, do what i did, tell her you've got congenital health problems. my family has a history of bad heart disease and random high blood pressure. that usually makes them go away.

 

wow, an IQ of 163? That's pretty amazing.

 

I suppossedly have amazing spacial ability and a perfect photographic memory?...I think I'm a ditz so hah. I had to learn to have the photographic memory because I have dyslexia and cannot spell or even sound out word so everything I spell I have to see in my head. I cannot comprehend sound. I have no common sense at all I am really book smart though I can go into a class and ace a test just by looking at the lecture outline and never going to class unless it's a class like spanish or linguistics where I have to sound things out.
I passed my last spanish test my memorizing how the pages looked in my book. I am very weird in how I process and learn things.
Mind you my EQ, which I had tested at 22 is that of a 12 year olds.

 

yeah, the one rarely matches up with the other, eh? i'll take my blessed mediocrity any day.

I'm going to be honest and tell her I am addicted to xanax and take effexor for anxiety disorder and that my dad was an alchoholic...I doubt they'll still want them. If they do than they're just crazy...because im crazy hah

 

I have no clue why but my school and major is the most highly desirable for donors int he state :

lol, Lynsey that's such silliness! I've never had anyone ask for my eggs! Yeesh, for that money they can have 'em (I guess I don't have much attachment since I don't really plan on giving birth to kids, and they get wasted every month anyways what with my birth control). Guess I'm not symmetrical enough for 'em

 

not to put down your looks, but have you considered taking a stand about this 'perfect looks' business.
your looks are unique to you and its the flaws that make a person, it really bothers me that people would have a 'pick and mix' attitude to new life, its common sense that they would not want any serious genetic diseases in the mix, but cloning is now not impossible to imagine.
remember what happened when the last guy thought that the human race should look perfect.
anyhow the moral me says I would take a stand on that basis, however the realistic side of me thinks, how much do you need money, people that are heavilly in debt, mothers who are struggling to fed the children they have, would be more than forgiven for doing it.

You hang onto yours eggs girl ! Don't that egg collector probe you, this is something that, if you were to do it, requires alot of consideration; this is not like buying a used car from a cigar-chomping sales person !!! Did she have the egg carton with her right there when she was talking with you..
