I can't belive there isn't a topic on this thread.
I just saw this movie and drew the conclusion white, black, mexican good, but asians and middle easterners pices of shit. Also this movie couldn't have taken place anywhere outside of LA because the characters wouldn't have been so combative and short temperd. Anyway I thought it was an okay movie, didn't like it too much.

Got a screener copy, I tried watching it twice...almost made it halfway through the second time. Unless that film has a killer ending, you can file it in my "meh" pile.

Pissed me off too that they "borrowed" Cronenberg's title, that was tacky. The weirdest part though is that a Canadian wrote the screenplay, he lives in LA but to me the racial stuff really stereotypes Canadian attitudes about Americans. (that racial issues define the whole American culture... which I think is mostly BS)

Just saw it. Good movie, kind of melodramatic. Some nice plot twists.

I'll take the ammo in the red box.

I thought the movie was alright. Overrated, yes but it is worth seeing. IMO, I don't think it's making asians and middle easterners look like pieces of shit at all nor is it trying to make anyone else look good. It's just based on how you interpret it I guess.

very over rated. it was decent and FAIRLY entertaining... it had a good point but it didnt even scratch the surface of any one area it touched. i was mildy dissapointed when i saw it and even more dissapointed to see how propped up it became later.

    blah.

I dont understand the attraction to this movie. I know some people who think it's the best movie ever made, but I think it's bollocks. But I digress, I've lived in california all my life, so everything said in the film is just normal to me... maybe it's not to everyone else, and because of that it gets to them? I dunno.

    WAYYYY overrated.
And its not saying anything good, or anything bad about any race.
It makes me feel that a lot of people have lost faith in people in general, and I hate that.

i guess it is a little over rated
however that doesn't diminish the quality of the film
it has alot of really good scenes (angles, lighting, positioning)
i guess cause i am a huge film buff and somewhat of an amateur cinematographer i find it to be fantastic
