Ok. Here's the thing - it is quite aptly related to the title of this thread - Sheen wrote something about a 9/11 conspiracy theory, yeah? Eh, lots of people have been taken in by those. The basic problem with conspiracy theories is: How many people had to be in the know for something to happen? For every single detail to fall into place, for it all to work seamlessly. The larger the number of people, the more certain you can be that the conspiracy is an impractical explanation. Since in any large number of people, somebody will find jesus, or crack up, or need money, and the story will come out in glorious technicolour. Get it?
A lot of strange suicides, car accidents, and even straight up murders that were never solved or even investigated, happened in the years following the Kennedy Assassination...the same can happen with this.
That is hardly comparable in scale to what the conspiracy theorists are suggesting happened on 9/11. That's why all the conspiracy theorists write thousands of pages on every minute detail they want to argue over, but nobody has ever produced an alternate timeline or compendium of all the things the conspirators would have had to arrange to carry out the attacks. Because if they did, it would look ridiculous and you would realise it would take half the country to organise such a conspiracy.
Not really Pointbreak...and there is a complete 9/11 timeline written by Paul Thompson, who after he finished it believed fully that their was government complicity. The Drills and Wargames of 9/11 would cause the perfect cover for Norad and the FAA, they would think the planes being hijacked are part of a drill, meaning the attacks can go forward w/o needing Norad involvement, just compartmentalization, not that many people actually need to know what's going on.
So how many people would you estimate were involved? And compartmentalisation is a cop out, it is relevant in the planning stage but not the aftermath.
yeah ok and how do you think the people who work for Norad, the FAA, inside our government, etc who think and even KNOW for sure it was an inside job feel, what are they supposed to do, go out with the evidence and get killed or get laughed at while they lose their job and can't even support their family anymore. It's easier to just look past your instincts and accept the comforatable theory that the media tells you.
I'm not surprised that you dodged the questions - how many conspirators would the 9/11 attacks take? How many people would it take to design and build a missile firing life sized 737 lookalike drone? Two? How many people would it take to plant multiple explosive charges, unnoticed, on each one of the 110 storeys of two buildings, both of which are occupied 24 hours a day (even ignoring the fact that you would have to strip away parts of the building to get at the structure and lay the charges)? One guy? And then WTC 7 too? Maybe one guy and a part time assistant? How many people work for the studio involved in filming every Osama tape, every hijacker videotaped will, every dog getting gassed, every jihad kidnapping video, every beheading video? For the "fake" video of the Pentagon jet? How many were involved in shooting down flight 93 and then faking the crash? How many were involved in intercepting flight 77, taking it to a secret base, killing everyone and disposing the bodies, and then disposing of the aircraft? How many people were involved in putting all the right evidence in the wrong places (flight 93 parts found "too far away"), and the wrong evidence in the right places ("incorrect" amounts of aircraft debris on the Pentagon lawn)? How many secret agents were responsible for filling newspapers with eyewitness accounts of planes which, apparently, never existed? How many CIA, DIA, NSA, FBI, FAA, airline employees, phone company employees, local police, secret service, emergency services, journalists, cleanup crews, and so on are part of the conspiracy? Well of course you won't answer that. Because it is obviously a number is the thousands, which makes it apparent just how ridiculous these theories are, despite what YOUR media tells YOU. 911 conspiracy theorists say they are "just asking questions", but there sure are a lot of questions they don't want to ask, and there's a lot of answers they don't want to hear. The government can't keep operation northwoods, the pentagon papers, monica lewinski, abu ghraib secret. They can't keep the real story behind Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch from coming out and spoiling the patriotic hero version. Yes, its hard to say what exactly this government is capable of keeping secret, but apparently a massive international conspiracy involving thousands of people - sure, we'll believe that. Your best effort is to say that they are all scared. All of 'em, the thousands, every single one is too scared. Because what - if you say '9/11 is a conspiracy', then you're on the hit list? The web is flooded with 911 conspiracy websites. Conspiracy theorists have nationally broadcast radio shows. They sell books and videos, give speaking presentations, and hold demonstrations. As Aristartle said, of these thousands of supposed insiders, some of them will "find jesus, or crack up, or need money, and the story will come out in glorious technicolour". Well, where are they? Why is it that all we get is former drug addict sitcom stars and the flat earth society types?
hahaha what the hell are you talking about pintbreak, do you ever hear JFK conspiracy theorists talk about how many people were involved in the conspiracy, or how many people shot him if there was more than one shooter? no because those questions are completely baseless, how the hell do you expect me to know that...how many people were involved in your conspiracy pointbreak, you have 19 arabs...and osama bin laden...what about the Al-Qaeda members that infiltrated norad to get them to stand down? what about the ones who made WTC7 fall down in 6.5 seconds just from fire...what about the Al-Qaeda members that blocked the FBI from investigating them, including John O' neill...what about the ones who sat on the Media and stopped them from just asking if there were explosives in the buildings...conspiracies aside. Sure they can't keep the propaganda of Pat Tillman and jessica Lynch...because journalists investigate those stories and can find the truth, that is one great thing about America...but all you need to stop a story is the one man at the top to pull the plug...they know Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch won't put an end to the infrastructure of this country. Of course conspiracies have nationally syndicated shows on radio...because we still have a good amount of freedom of speech that we need to fight to keep...of course they release books and hld seminars...because the majority of people in their deep heart have an inkling or a sixth sense to realize that this stuff probably is true, but they don't talk about it with their neighbors or parents because they will be labeled conspiracy theorist or crazy by people like you...in their hearts they know that things like 9/11 being a coverup make more sense than what they have been told...look at Iraq...they lied about WMD...why wouldn't they lie about 9/11 where just 3,000 people were killed...and lie about Iraq where 10,000+ have been killed...innocent people. Don't demonize charlie sheen for his past drug use and having a political opinion...and support Bush who used to be a drug addict and now is the head of the executive branch in our country. of course not ALL of them are scared...a lot of them are...Here is some of the people in high places who question the theory...Government officials: Raymond McGovern — retired CIA and Clandestine service operations officer, CIA chief for Middle East, contact with Henry Kissinger, Ronald Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush — (Iran-Contra, VIPS), Morgan Reynolds — Ph.D, professor emeritus at Texas A&M University, former director of the Criminal Justice Center at the National Center for Policy Analysis headquarters, former chief economist for the United States Department of Labor during the George W. I take it the people debating against Charlie Sheen have seen Loose Change? The documentary going over basically every part of the 9/11 conspiracy. If you have, what argument's do you have to say that all the evidence is false? I mean, the guy who made Loose Change did a remarkable job. I don't see how anyone could deny such claims that there wasn't any degree of conspiracy involved, not just on the Muslim side, but also the American side if you've seen it. just incase... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8260059923762628848&q=loose+change&pl=true
Loose change is garbage for morons. It is a complete joke. Unfortunately that makes no sense. How many people does it take to shoot JFK? One, or if you believe the conspiracy, two. Plus whoever their "support team" was. How many does it take to design and build a missile firing 737 lookalike drone? Not going to answer that are you. How would you know? Of course you wouldn't know. You don't ask inconvenient questions like that. You're asking ME to explain YOUR conspiracy theory. I can't explain your conspiracy theory because it makes no sense. You already know the official version, its the conspiracy version that nobody wants to explain, because it would sound ridiculous. How many people does it take to get NORAD to stand down? I never said NORAD stood down, so zero. So are you going to do it or not? Three thousand people? Ten thousand? You don't want to say. Like I said, this makes no sense. Peope are shouting about the conspiracy from the rooftops. You won't accept this huge logical contradiction because its just to inconvenient, its easier to just ignore it. Its not a label, they are crazy. Yes, they didn't just plant WMD's and say they found them. Or not even plant them, just say so. But they didn't, because Photographing 10,000 oil drums and saying "these contained anthrax" is SOOOO much harder than designing a remote controlled missile firing 737 lookalike drone and piloting it into the Pentagon. This is a roll call of clowns and zealots. Lots of these people very closely associate with extremist ideologies, like Chussodovsky, who is a Milosovic apologist. And many of them are people like Griffin, who have done no orginal research whatsoever, and have merely collected conspiracy theories without questioning them and assembled them into essays. These are not witnesses or insiders, they are believers. We're still supposed to believe that the thousands of conspirators are all remaining silent. None of them went crazy, found jesus, became desperate for money, developed addictions, became embittered or vengeful, or did any of of the things that humans do which make large scale conspiracies impossible.
