I was thinking of planting ivy and some aloe vera, in my room, but i think I want things that will be beneficial to health, like aloe vera. maybe some herbs? Anyone have any ideas?

I've heard marjoram is good for spiritual development. But as far as actual physical health, it depends on what you're trying to benefit, exactly. I know I love the smell of certain herbs growing, but that may be just me...

Most herbs, such as marjoram, thyme, rosemary, etc need a sunny site + probably wouldn't do that well indoors; if you do attempt it, a south-facing window would be best. In hot sun delicious aromas are evaporated from oil glands in the plant. Good luck!

I'm gonna vouch against planting rosemary indoors. The smell got to be too strong.
