So I go to see my doctor today, and unfortunatly the steroids aren't working on my Crohn's. I tell him that, and then he tells me that what it loks like we are goign to have to do is move up in the type of medicine I am going to take. So he tells me of thiI am going to have to get every 8 weeks for a yeaar or so. Unless I am allergic or my parents teacher's union insurance doesn't cover it (5000$ a time), it has a 60% chance of working (but if it works, it will work wonders), unfortunatly it will cause my immune system to become more suppressed than it already is by other medicine. Next thing in the way of Crohn's treatment is surgury to remove the inflammed parts of my intestines...yay Today kinda sucks
Plus, more intense steroids = thicker chest hair. Maybe you should start shaving it too, while you're young. Cuz its a symbol of respect in some places.
Thanks for the kind words everyone Well I am going to be off the steroids in a few weeks anyways, so i am not too worried...
Wow What a bummer Trevor... And yeah the teacher's union insurance don't have a super coverage ... I hope the treatment will work
I am pretty sure the provinces have different plans though. I am hoping it covers just cause I don't want surgury, but then again...and IV every 2 months for a year yeah, either way this sucks
I've got Crohn's disease, and that is an inflammitory bowel disease, which basically means that my immune system is attacking myself and my intestines (and a bit of my Esophagus) are inflammed...So along wiht that comes cramping and pain and diareah (yay) I've got a flare up, things aren't getting better...and then that (what I posted) is what I found out today
Man, I don't know what to say, because I know nothing will take away what you're going through. Keep your chin up, you'll get through it.
