is there anybody here who has a tongue ring? i want to get one soooo bad. some of my [girl] friends have told me that its hot to see a guy with a tongue ring. also i've heard that it fells good for the women during oral sex as your eating her out or even kissing. has anybody here been through this? also, if you have, how long did the recovery last? as for recovery, i mean to get used to talking normal again like you were before you got it pierced.
I never understood the concept of a tonguering.. I've got a tonguepiercing (just a normal bar) for over 4 years now and I love it.. but a ring would have to be huge to fit in there, or the hole would have to be pierced more towards the tip of the tongue, which would mean that a normal bar would hit your teeth while talking.. I can give you some info on my experience with a normal tonguepiercing though if you're interested, just let me know.
I used to have one. I got caught with it & my parents thought that only whorish chicks wore 'em. What shit. Anyways...it was a good thing to satisfy the oral fixation. Better than chewin' on pens. Haha. Later love monkeys.:sunglasse
I have one. Get it done. Your g/f is right, she'll enjoy it immensely. You'll be surprised at the new tricks you'll be able to pull with it and you get used to having it real quick. Recovery is a couple of weeks for most of the soreness to go away. oh! Its called a barbell.
ooh.. there are these things you can buy for your tonguepiercing.. the top marble is a vibratingthingie the shape of a pill.. the bottom marble is the battery.. they are supposed to be great, but since I don't bend all the way down there and I don't know anyone with a tonguepiercing I haven't been able to try'm They are sold in sexshops..
I have had mine for 3 years now and love it, i cant even tell i have it anymore, it didnt hurt at all when it was peirced, but was sore for about a week. It takes about a week or two to learn to eat with it, and about a month b4 you can talk normal. You talk fine after about 2 weeks, but there were still a few words and sounds that gave me a hard time for a while. Considerin the pros and cons, id say it worth it and so would the ladies...
i heard they rub off all the enamel in the inside of your teeth, is that true? and how long do you have to have it in before you dont really need to worry about the hole closing up?
The hole will always always always close up after a certain amount of time (which isn't very long, I don't think) no matter how long you've had your tongue pierced. I don't have mine but I'd like to. I've heard that it only takes a couple days to get to talking normally and it's sore for about a week...feeling bruised and whatnot. And yeah, depending on how big your tongue ring is and how your actual tongue "works" when you talk, it's highly possible that it will clink against your teeth and after a while put little tiny cracks in your teeth. That's why dentists hate them so much. I don't think they actually take the enamal off, I think they just crack them.
yeah i'm sorry for mixing it up. i wanted that straight bar in my tongue, not an actual ring in my tongue. i wanted the tongue steel straight line. girls, is it worth it for a guy to have it? and do you find it attractive/hot?
My friend just had hers done like a week ago and it looks awesome. She's not really sore or anything either. I love tongue rings and have always been attracted to guys with them.
i had one for a few years. only hurt for a lil bit afterwards, i drank a lot of slushies to keep swelling down..... it got old after a while
Tongue studs on women are hot, even if they are trendy and vapid. I have gotten head from a women with a tongue stud before and it feels incredible.
I have always toyed with the idea of getting my tongue pierced, but it's not likely that I am going to. I've also toyed with the idea of a penis piercing, but that too is unlikely. (The reason it's unlikely is that I have my ear pierced once, and I have this "thing" about liking having one single solitary piercing. A second one or more would blow that special one-ness.) Anyway, I was wondering about something I read recently while researching tongue piercings for another thread: some online source talking about the dangers of tongue piercing mentioned that since the piercing goes through muscle, it pushes epithelial cells (skin cells) into the tissue where some of them lodge. The article said that these could later be treated by the body as foreign pathogens or something and become cysts -- it even said they could become cancer. Does anyone here know about these specific dangers? What about the supposed nerve damage that I've heard could occur? I've never heard it sustantiated that you could like screw up your taste sense or your control, but I've heard it claimed. Blue skies, -Jeffrey
I've never heard of that propaganda, Jeffrey. To answer the initial question, I had mine done after a week of taking anti-inflammitories, and then a percocet about a half hour before my appointment. That cut down on the swelling and pain, but it was sensitive to temperature. I guess it was about a week of taking the anti-inflammitories afterwards that helped the most. I had problems saying any sound that required the tongue to rest behind the teeth like the "ssss" sound and the "d" sound. I got to talking about a month later with few problems. As to the question of your teeth, yes the jewelry WILL take the enamel off of your teeth. But it will also take the tartar off of it just as easily. I wear an 8 gauge in mine (or is it 6?) and I leave my jewelry out for over a month at a time. After 3 1/2 years, it has yet to close up.
Initially it's quite sensitive, that's why I took the narcotic pain killer just before my appointment. I guess that all depends on your pain threshold. Mine cost $35 to pierce, and $30 for the jewelry.
It didn't hurt at all.. it started hurting a few days later 'cause I turned out to be allergic for the cleansing fluid that you have to rinse with. You're tongue gets swolen and that can be difficult with eating.. make sure you have easy-to-eat stuff at home, preferably non chewy, just in case. Also, you shouldn't be kissing or having oral sex (giving ofcourse *grin*) for about a month, to avoid 'strange' bacteria in your mouth. The whole itself wont heal for a long long time, so you can't take it out for a couple days.. it's closed before you know it. Make sure you don't play with it too much in the first period, no matter how tempting, 'cause this can cause the skin to scar. I've got mine for about 4 years now I think and still love it!
