Ello all! Righty heres a little trick i learnt off a true friend, (who, incidently has taught me pretty much all i know about weed! - Ta Dan!) Me and my friends call it a shotty pipe or shoots bottle, other various names and ways of making them are available through the web but im sharing how i made mine ok! Equipment Needed: Strong Bottle Lighter Knife Metal Tube Or Pipe Superglue or Bluetack (the blue stuff that looks like smurf shit) Tape Step 1: Take a drinks bottle, one that is pretty strong.. lucozade bottles are good. TIP: you want one preferably without many grooves on the sides, the less groves the better the seal you get later on. Step 2: Using Your lighter heat up the tip of the knife and poke a hole in the bottle, make sure that its SMALLER then the pipe length so the seal is good. Step 3: while the pastic is still still hot and slightly melted poke the pipe into the bottle at a steep angle, a poor example of the angle would be this slash here: / Step 4: Use the tape to keep the pipe at the steep angle (normally the tape falls off in my case.) Step 5: Put some bluetack or glue round the base of the pipe where the seal is and make sure its packed tightly. HINT: To test the seal hold the pipe hole and try to inhale through where you normally drink out of... the bottle should try to collapse. You may hear of a little leak, if so fiddle with the bluetack but small holes really aint that bad. Step 6: if your pipe is lucky enough to have a bowl its pretty much a bong so fill it with wate, pack it and enjoy, however if your just using a metal tube carry on: The Following Is What Makes It A Shotty! The above was just a bong Step 7: get a little tobacco into a ball and place it into the hole, making sure the tobacco isnt to sqashed and it fits nicely.. not too much, it wants to be where it just fits but doesnt fall through into the water. Step 8: Follow the same rule as 7 but with resin or weed which ever you have if its resin a few dabs with the tip of your finger with weed its easy just to make a ball. Step 9: Light the end and inhale GENTLY, when the mixture of weed/resin and tobacco start to fall through into the water take a quick deep breath in, and it should POP slightly, the mixture SHOOTS through the pipe into the water.... inhale as much as possible and hold for as long as possible (this way u get the best effect from your weed/gear) Did you like that? oh i bet you did. And thats it! well done! The water inside gets mucky and may need emptying every 2/3 weeks (or as often as you choose) The great thing here is you can cusomise your bottle and if you dont want to clean it, throw it away (But keep the pipe... obviously) and follow the instructions from step 1. hmm, i understand all but the last step, the one that makes it a shotty... so you light your weed and suck it into the water? pics would help tons
Hey Wonderboy! yea what happens is as you light the weed the smoke filters through the water, the substance that is pulled into the water is mostly burnt weed. dont get me wrong im sure theres plenty of more efficient way of smoking the fine herb (i.e vaporizers are the shit!!!) so to answer ur question .. yes it goes into the water (thats why it needs cleaning) and it does smell kinda bad.. especially if u spill it!! it smells slightly like smokey bacon crisps that have biodegraded into some sort of smelly bacony shit lol You will find that the pipe used does get kinda mucky and ive got a few pics sorted just need some weed to show how it works effectively.. Will post vids too! much easier... sorry bout the delay.
ah.. I was getting the impression that you just immediately suck the weed into the water, and I was like "uhh, then you don't get to smoke it..." lol, can't wait for the vids and stuff, have a good day bro!
um I think everyone knows how to make a homemade bong. I see no point in using the shotty either. Get a real bong is my advice
hell i know everyone can make a bong, i've made plenty myself... but i'm always interested in trying out new methods of smoking, even if just for a novelty
me and m friends are gonna get supppper baked tonight and THEN try and make/smoke a gravity bong haha its gonne be funny.
