    what happened to your hair?
I can advise for people who simply cut it, but not so well on alopecia, chemo, etc.
if you cut it , first rule is stay out of teh stylists and hide your own scissors.
A balanced diet, plenty of water and rest and exercise, a good multi vitamon and lay off the caffeine and no tobacco.
    what's your shampoo now?

i cut all my lovely long hair off too...and i wish i had it back too. yesterday i was at a coffeeshop and a woman walked in with gorgeous wavy hair most of the way down her back, and it made me miss my hair soooo much. i'm growing it out again i've decided...this business about having hair too short to even pull back without bobby pins is driving me insane...

A lot of mamas have some of their hair fall out after they have a baby. It is just hormonal, and will get better. Just leave it alone, and listen to druminmama.

It'll get better. It will grow, too.

I couldn't contemplate cutting my hair short now. It's been at least shoulder length for the past 15 years and I know I'd miss it. (Now a respectable down to bra strap length and it's staying that way) The last time I had a dramatic haircut was when I was 13, due to peer pressure. My classmates were all telling me that I looked so childish with my long hair (way down my back) and so I had it cut into a "Lady Di" which was the thing to do. As soon as I saw my hair on the salon floor, I knew it was a mistake. The dumb thing was, after the "Lady Di", I had it cut even shorter!!!

I agree Drumminmama, braids are cool. So carefree, really good, especially in summer, you can just get out of bed and go, tie them back or have them swinging loose. I am really tempted to have mine done again.

After I had my kids, when I would wash my hair, it would come out in clumps. Luckily, I have really thick, long hair, so it wasn't noticable. I had handfulls coming out.

I wear braid a lot in the garden or when hiking, so my hair doesn't tangle up. I have to put my little girls in braids at night, or they get so tangled nothing helps. I would put Lennon's hair in a little braid, when he was a toddler, to keep the tangles out, as he was long haired baby. Bear was weirded out that I would take him out like that. *sigh*

    aloe vera!
you have to get the real stuff though. you can buy it at the health food store.
if you use the raw plant, stick the cut leaves in a glass of water till all the yellow stuff comes out (you might be allergic to it)

its the only thing i use to wash my hair(besides water and sometimes tea tree if i have dandruff), just straight aloe juice, it cleans out all the grease, but keeps it moisturized and the ends dont split. you will love how it feels! sometimes if my hair gets really dry i put olive oil on it while its wet, and then wash it out.

it helps if you drink the aloe too. i personally think it tastes like bandaids, so you might want to mix it with juice or put it in a smoothie.

i know how hard it is to keep from cutting your hair. i gave in and currently have some wicked xena bangs and i look like a cave girl.
    good luck <3
