First of alli I would like to say thank you for reading this. I'm a senior at a high school, and I'm getting ready to choose a college. I've always wanted to go to a private school because I prefer small classes, less competition, etc. And most importantly if I choose to go to USD, psychology (which is a declared major) would also be one of my options for work study. However, I need at least 14 grand per year to pay the school because I don't want to take loan. Would you give me an idea of what i should do besides starting to educate myself? I'm working on that :).

    thank you

What country are you going to go to college in? Look for government grants, or find an employer willing to pay for your education

Work study will help out, but it's not going to put you through college.

Are you trying to pay for school in the US? You should look into a scholarship.I dunno how your grades are. You might want to try something like this.

Are you a Chinese citizen? If you're a US citizen, you could join the coast guard or something.

Investing at 17 won't help, it doesn't make financial sense, You'd have to work for years on a smaller amount of money to save up enough. If you take out a loan, that'll be more debt, but you can earn much more.

It's your call. I can't really give very good advice cause I don't know where you are, where you want to go to school, and want you want to do after school.

    Good luck.

I would suggest posting this on the "Higher Ed." Forum, you might get more responses there.
