Geocaching, anyone else into it?

we're noobs. sounds like it's right up our alley.

 

Is that like hide and seek with a GPS? I think my uncle has done that a couple times.

yeah. nifty stuff. dave found a travel bug in farmington, he's gonna stash it up here. it's supposed to end up in north dakota, so now it's just a bit closer. gonna get my dad into it, he travels everywhere. a good excuse to go hiking.

 

i only have gps for my laptop and use it in the car

once agian, I get to put myself in the idiot spotlight, lol, but here it goes: what is geocaching?

 

hide & seek with gps equipment. people hide caches somewhere, give you hints or coordinates, you find the item, log on that you found it. sometimes you take a picture, sometimes, if you find a travel bug, you have to place it somewhere closer to it's goal. sometimes big companies sponsor cool shit to hide, like one guy got the keys to a new jeep.
