Hooray!! Finally he's dead! I guess not many tears has been spilt over these good news. One of the worst mass-murderers in Europe since WWII is finally dead. I certainly hope that Jesus will forgive him, because I'm not sure if anybody else will... Let's bury him immediately, so that we can throw in our efforts to create a new world. A world in which people like Milosevic will never, never, ever again gain any kinda influence... love and understanding, -wolf.
He's already buried.. but I'm not so happy he's dead.. I always wanted him to be sitting in a jail till the rest of his life and thinking of all those people he let kill.. It's wrong to say, but I wanted him to suffer.. not simply die..
Well, actually he sat in a jail till the rest of his life. Let's hope that he was suffering, and that was the cause of his death. Unfortunately, I honestly believe that the cause of his death was not of shame, but simply because his machine got out of function. I'm afraid that he was the kind of person, out of order to feel shame. I'm afraid that he died without ever realizing what it ment to be a human being. I think Milosevic was the kind of person who never did reach any spiritual insights in his life. He was indeed a poor man. :-/ bad luck to him...
First of all, I definitely wouldn't wish death on anybody. Having said that, I'm not exactly sad he's gone. What I do think is sad, however, is that he didn't live long enough for the trial to finish. I think it's important that his legacy will be that of a war criminal, and there is no better way to ensure that than to have a conviction for genocide and crimes against humanity on record. Now, there is no official recognition of his guilt, and his followers will be able to keep using his name for their shady purposes. We have already seen some people try to create mystery around his death in order to make him a marture, a victim of an international conspiracy against the Serbs. For this reason, I don't think his death was a good thing at all. I hope you're right though, wolf at door, that we can now close this chapter and move on. All of us, but especially the people of Serbia and the other South-Slavic republics.
It wouldn't make any difference if he was convicted. His followers would say that it's a conspiracy. What's really confusing about the war in Yugoslavia is that it's impossible to point out any "good" out - there's no "good vs. evil". Any story I hear, no matter from which side, seems to be pure evil. I'm so chocked to realize how much evil the human species contain, and it seems to me that we've learned NOTHING from WWII & Holocaust. The only sensible philosophy of the 20th century is the philosophy that human beings are basically driven by FEAR. You're naive if you believe in any other 'great' european philosophy than that - sorry - I don't wanna offend any of you honestly wise & interesting people... The only (pessimistic) advice I can give to people is to read Hobbes and to become buddhists afterwards!!! - or at least to get some kind of spiritual insights to avoid getting caught in these situations which seems to happen over and over again, in which we kill eachother, whenever we're trapped in some kinda panic state... Is Europe a good example to the rest of the world? No it isn't! To make a change is to make a difference in the whole by making a difference within yourself... ...and perhaps you'll manage to organize that within your community later... hopefully... In Utopia we're all Messiah... love and understanding, noose.
Actually, you're right about that, Zinka. And it wont make a difference anyway. Milosevic was not the cause of the disaster - he was simply the leader of the serbs. And the serbs we're just the serbs and not all of them didn't even vote for him! ...and marxism is a good equipment to reach what we all want, but it's never ment to be the solution. The people, no the human being, is the solution (...and the purpose, the key...) - if marxism just become some other theory, some other idea, or even worse - a religion - it will lose its meaning... And I truly understand if Jana and anybody else from former communist countries hate all my talk about marxism (believe me: I've always hated the Soviet power just as much as the U.S. power). Sorry. I hope you understand that marxism has had another meaning in western Europe than in eastern Europe from the days we were divided untill the days we were finally united again... (except to some lunatics at western european universities in the 70's who blindly followed Moscows command - but those have never been real hippies anyway!). love and understanding, -wolf
Wishing for ANYone to suffer or die?! Happy with ANYone's death or suffering?! Some posts here make me think that i'm not on a hippie forum.
Never. Never, my friend. None of us are that moral that we are able to supress our feelings. Love is the thing, but a word like "love" turn grey and divine if we're not able to face its negation: hate; the feeling of hate, that we don't wanna make Mekka, but certainly a feeling that we have to deal with - simply because we feel it - we feel it in our bodies. Not to make hate a drive, but to deal with the opposite than love, to make love something more than an ideal thinking. Love is the way, but moralism and denial of the nuanced spectrum of human moral feelings isn't. love and understanding, -wolf-
I'm not a hippy, I'm just a heathen who likes to say whatever the fuck I want to... ergo I'm on a freespeech forum... But I mostly say nice things... I think And yeah, wooooo!!! go him dying!!! Now to wait for the next one.... Face it, we're just human...
Hippie's believe that a world of freespeechers will made the world complete. You're a freespeecher, so aren't you some kinda hippie then? En sten kan synke. Det kan Mor Nille også. Derfor er Mor Nille en sten! Eller så'n no'et!?
he was an fuckin sick asshole same as the others balkanian pos comynistic dikator-presidents on the balcan
Name a non-fuckin-sick-asshole-president, then. Mandela, perhaps? Probably. But did they get rid of the slum since? Havel, perhaps? Probably. But did they get rid of the concrete slum since? Yeltsin, perhaps? Probably. But did they get rid of Putin since? love, -wolf
nej den virker ikke, ting kan godt synke uden at være en sten Den rigtige ville se såndan ud: Alle sten kan synke, Mor Nille er en sten, ergo Mor Nille kan synke
Ok Here's my view on it all. 1)Milosevic wasnt a nice person , true. BUT 1)Neither were the Muslims / Kosovans funded by America and Britain to destabilise /destroy Yugoslavia since Tito's era 2)Many Kosovan Albanians/ Muslims had a terrible record of siding with the Nazis, with the aim of exterminating Slavs in Yugoslavia 3)Atrocities were commited by both sides in Yugoslav war- altho most likely numerically many many more by the Serbs. 4)Milosevic was effectively killed ( the autopsy said his death was preventable) because , a nasty piece of work as he was , he probably wouldnt have been convicted - if he had then , Blair , Bush , and many others would be looking at the same fate. 5)FOr many hundreds of years the ethnic mix in Former Yugoslavia has been a terrible terrible mess. There's even a tower built from human skulls that is several hundred years old!! 6)The crimes commited by NATO in Yugoslavia ( who only ever wanted trouble there to create a NAT0 sphere of influence ) were terrible. _________ I think the most important thing we can strive for is truth. YES Milosevic was president of a country commiting genocide. But America commited genocide vs 2.8 million Vietnamese. Its economic policies have killed many millions of Africans , 100s of thousanda of Arabs and so on during wars , and given 1/2 a million Iraqi children cancer thro depleted uranium shells. For the West to incite , train and arm terrorists in Yugoslavia was outrageous but Im sure these will never be charged. Even today we have Israelis and Americans defending the so called "collateral damage" of hundreds of Arabs being killed for just 2 TWO! Israeli soldiers being taken prisoner. If I was around in 1944 , would I have killed Nazi wives and children?Being truthful , maybe I would have done , if it would have stopped Nazism taking over the world. My summary is , if you want justice it has to be consistent , ie for everyone equally - otherwise its no justice at all. Milosevic's death was a failed show trial. Yes what he presided over went against most people's sense of right and wrong. But lets try all the others guilty of what he did , and worse. Unfortunately , I think all we'll get is more show trials.
Mor Nille kan synke. Det kan enhver sten også. Ergo: Når man smutter sten henover vandet, kan man lisså godt sige "Smut, Mor Nille"...
