Yuck, I totally agree. I use onions constantly in cooking, but I can't stand the smell on my hands afterwards. It seems to stay there even with tons of hand washings.
clean your hands with lemon juice a couple times. works with garlic, too. if it's really strong, lemon juice mixed with baking soda. works like a charm. gets the smell out of your sink and off your cutting surface, too.
When I was a kid, I hated onions. You couldn't pay me enough to eat them. Now I love them. Funny how things change.
me too! mmmmm, onion hell, I've gotten the craving jsut for fried onions before.. not in the last couple years, but a few times before hand I'm picky with my onions though - white onions are ze best, imho. I was like hcm though, never used to eat the damn things, I'd make my mom chop 'em real big when she made spaghetti so I could pick them out easily, now I love onions
