wuld u have liked to be alive in the 60's

I think i wuld have loved it but i feel i can do more now than i culd in the 60's, I mean I rebel and that and have more chance of influenceing others if ya get me, and i'm happy now anyway wot bout y'all

 

Being alive back in the 60's would have been grand with all the musical events, abundant acid and all the other stuff of the time, but when you think of all the things that have happened in the last couple decades like the Internet or th Fall of the Berlin Wall, I have to say I'm happier to live in the now. The times may not be as colorful as they were, but they are definitly getting more exciting, at least in my view.

 

It would have been cool to live in the 60's ... But there was alot of bad stuff going on too, like Vietnam. Not everything was peace, love, and drugs. But that's what most people think of when they think about the 60'2.

 

yea i think about it sometimes, but i realize that i was meant to make my change here and effect and impact the people and world of this time. and who knows? maybe i was in the 60's at one point of my life.

Actually that could make you as young as 36,which is only half dead,but in my case you're pretty damn close...i'm just happy to be alive in a dead kinda way.

 

yes and no. Yes because my kind of music would be in the mainstream and i would get to see bands like pink floyd and rush grow up. But no because now there already is all the music and todays society is so advanced.

 

Look at this way, Some of us already made it to our 50's and 60's....You still have to hope you will.......( I'm not being nasty)

I get what you're saying about influencing others, I mean today we have the internet where you can openly exress your ideas and and hear other people's ideas, If you ask me communication is the 1st step in making the world a better place and the internet is a communication tool they could only have dreamed about in the '60s.

 

Not at all. Worse weed, plenty of bad music on the radio that makes today's crap look like child's play, widespread religious influence, no Leftover Crack, no internet porn, etc, etc.

 

Rather than wish you were in a different generation, shape your own into something unique. Its what made the 60's magical (well the good bits anyway.) They made it their own. It wasnt the drugs or the music. It was people siezing the day and making it theirs. If you sit around wanting your life to have been there, or trying to make it more like then , then you're going to miss out on the magic that is today. Shape the world in your own image. And kids... Cid back then was really great but they didn't have the variety of chemicals we gots today. We have a whole universe of available chemicals so much so that we can make a selection based on a fine tuned choice of effects we want. So apreciate what you have now.

That was awesome ... I wish more people from my generation would read that and understand it.

 

I would have liked to be around to experience the 60's and see the change that has taken place over the years but I could say the same about any decade for various reasons, I couldn't say I would have rather lived in any other time than the one I have though.

As I said we got better shit now so if you cant find any, your either mormon or not looking hard enough

In the 1960's the concept of the 80s blew peoples minds. They were at least thinking about the future and moving towards it.
Instead your looking back and stagnating.
Make today your 60s revolution. Fight the apathy. But for the love of god please get rid of your corperate tye-dye (You made it using mega-corp products so shut it) take a fuckin shower cause you smell like dirt, drop the peace and free love crap (The old school hippies gave up free love for free checking) and stop thinking inside the box that is "Hippie."

You are limiting away your entire life like that. When you live free of definition and titles and regulations you are free to do and become ANYTHING. In that sense you will TRANCEND this life into a plane of enlightened existance and stop clinging to inconcievable ideals.
