The film adapation of the book "The Celestine Prophecy" will be released into theaters on April 21st, less than a month away!

If you've read the book, you more than likely will want to see the movie. If you HAVEN'T read the book, you should still see the movie. You might want to pick up the book after you see it!

    Definitely check it out.

We have a real thinker here, don't we...

First off, the word is 'encapsulate', secondly...the book was/is a phenomenon across the entire planet, not just one region of the U.S. Third, I don't think the term "hippie" really applies here, although if your ignorant mind wants to think of it as such, then please...be my guest. But your reply was highly unnecessary and inappropriate, not to mention annoying and stupid.

you are correct sir, but you fail to realize that its not everybodies goal to be needed or appropriate. And everybody is annoying and stupid so big deal.....

not to mention your 26 and impressed by garbage that hasn't produced an ounce of wonder or enjoyment in my life since I was 14. Go concentrate some telepathic energy onto a bush and feel smart for it pal......and to think you think I'm stupid....."its a world phenomenon :p " so is scientology and the divinci code you common denominator.

I'm guessing you're both male...white...and somewhat priviledged. Weird thing is, sounds like you know a little something about the content of the story, and thus poking insult at it. Interesting.

Common denominator...hmmm, I wouldn't mind hearing you elaborate on what you mean by that, but it would only serve to hijack the topic of this thread, which I feel that your sophomoric (at best) and underdeveloped ability to analyze or think critically is hardly worth that. In other words, if you don't have anything of relevance to add (your ignorant and unthought-out opinion doesn't count) then please leave the topic to those who share an interest in the subject. Thanks and enjoy the rest of your day/evening.

footnote: strange that an insignificant mind such as yours is a "hipforums supporter". Anomalie after anomalie...

Yeah I guess that would confuse you considering you have assumed I am dumb. You have assumed alot. Not sharing your opinion or contributing to your post in the way you want me to is absurd grounds for you to assume I'm dumb. As for the assumption about my intellect, I probably have more academic eduction then you and probably graduated with a higher GPA, thank you. Furthermore, I was "dumb" enough to get a half scholarship to a state university and "rich" enough to get financial aid to cover the other half, thank you. Please notice how I said probably, because I would never claim to know that, considering I don't really know you. But considering you are amazed by the Celestine Prophecy, I have more reason to assume that. Furthermore, you assuming I was bashing a book I never read was also more fuel for my fire.

yet more fuel for my assumption.....you don't know what a common denominator is? Thats a 6th grade math term pal.

Actually your sophmoric ability to analyze is what makes you impressed by that rag. My superior abilities allow me to realize that its a rag.

You are not the boss of me so if you don't like my opinion then you shouldn't post on an open forum like a message board. Are you here to share ideas, or are you only here to meet people who agree with your ideas? I've offered you more of a service than anybody else would have by stroking your ego.

Yeah like there isn't a shitload of morons on this site...........so even if (hypothetically speaking) I agree to being dumb, it still wouldn't be an anomalie. Furthermore if you know any REAL philosophy you'd know that Socrates states the man with the most knowledge is the one who does not claim to have any......so I openly admit and accept my ignorance. If you could lose your ego and do the same, perhaps you would be wiser for it.

BTW what is your problem with the word encapsulate? Are you claiming I made it up and are you calling me dumb for that? It means sum up or capture.....and its in the dictionary.

P.S. if you went to college, was it for poli sci?

  10. Actually no, you assumptuous fuckhead, I'm actually an educated by choice, poor white male on welfare from Australia because I got shafted from my job. As much as I DO know about the story seeing as i've fucking read it, humour doesn't require accurate facts. Your intelligent but limited style of thinking makes you a worthless candidate to prove the worth of Daniel Redfield's theories. Actually, I probably would be more tolerant if you weren't so fun to pay out. The simple fact that you're sitting here feeding our fire means you have an attitude problem yourself so why not go sit under a tree and meditate, i'm serious. Go find some inner peace.

Wow, what a silly thread. I guess some people have nothing better to do...

Well, I for one and super excited that the movie is coming out. The book did a world of good for many people, myself included, about a decade ago. When I read it I was working as a waitress, doing too many drugs, and really irresponsible...you know, not taking responsibility for my own life and the way that I co-create it. Actually, I was still thinking that I was a victim of life and that I needed to put others down and act a fool to get attention and try to get some sort of interaction with people...way devoid of truth or love. But anyways, the book changed a lot for me and now I'm a writer working for myself and I found out that I enjoy peace, joy and being honest and open...and supporting and participating in positive media.

Now of course, the book is not the sole reason or anything! But it totally turned me around and pointed me in a different direction. I remember reading it and thinking: Now THIS makes sense!

So, I'm excited that they are making it into a movie...I think it will benefit a lot of people.

I see a preview of it tonight in Durham, NC...and we're having a diodynamic/organic dinner beforehand with local farmers.

I just moved here and it's really awesome to meet so many people who are intelligent, tuned in and really enjoying life.

The author's name is JAMES Redfield, not Daniel Redfield. And when you use the term "fuckhead" it makes you seem corny at best. Next, I'm not seeking to prove the theories he proposes, but only to advocate and even "advertise" them to an open-minded populace. And about me finding inner peace, and your entire last sentence, all I can say about that is YOU'RE RIGHT. However, don't judge me without first looking into yourself. And the fact that I'm "feeding your fire"...well yeah, you're also right about that, however it's probably not such a great idea to START the fire in the first place. Inner peace? Yes, I think we both could use some. If it might possibly mean anything to you, I apologize for the assumptions I made about you.

Koopa, you're definitely another case altogether. And one that's not worth very much. Your degrees, certificates, and diplomas mean toilet paper to me. Your basic premise of what it is to be a worthy human being is equally worthless. Reading your words is a fairly tedious excercise, one that I don't wish to take part in again.
Once again, you've helped to hijack the thread. Please patronize a different kind of forum.

  13. Actually, I never judged you and made one harmless joke about the film, however, apology accepted...peace :)
