hey everyone, i have a wedding in 2 weeks and i am planning on making some pillows for the couple, but i also wanted something to go along with it. The bride is very crafty and would appreciate anything that has a handmade touch to it, i know you guys are right crafti-er than me, so i was wondering if ya'll would lend a few ideas to me? thanks! any suggestions would be helpful.

Gift making can be very fun...think outside the box!! Try making a gift basket...with things they can both use or enjoy together. Maybe make it an Italian Dinner themed basket with a bottle of red wine, some pasta, and some gourmet red sauce., Also you could give them a recipe for a bread to make with it. Or you could make gifts in a jar (cookies, breads, soups, brownies, etc) Not only are these fun to make, They can actually use them and have fun doing it together!! Or if they like to backpack, buy a new backpack, with snacks, and a new blanket! Good Luck! And Have fun!

First off, props to the WSP quote in your signature.... going to any shows this summer?

Second.... I would make some refrigerator magnets out of shells if they like the beach or flowers if they like flowers, etc etc, and put their wedding date on it so they'll always remember their wedding when they go near the fridge. or *if possible* go to a local craft shop, and throw them a couple of bowls, mugs, whatever, on the wheel. They'll appreicate having some hand-made dinnerware!

this may sound corny but you'd be surprised at how many people appreciate your every day regular gift certificate.

I had a friend marry last summer, and there were 6 of us that went in on a gift for her and her new hubby... gift certificates @ the grocery store, maid service, the stores where she was registered at, totalling about $700. It absolutely helped them out tons for them starting out.

you can get them a dinner and a movie in gift certificates for an old fashioned date. for a crafty bride you can get tools/supplies that go along with her crafts. if they are campers, get something for camping, whatever would be a nice luxury in a camp. or you could get them a wine/beer making kit, so they can make something together (things like that also lead to kids sometimes). a tree they can grow together to commemorate their marriage (if they have their own house and enough property, but there are also trees you can grow indoors, or in pots, depends on the climate they live in).

    hoope this helps.
