Hello from me to you.. i met some rainbow family in waveland, ms that i have a few questions about.. anyone know about camp second helping? if so please help me out with this main question.. are ron and mama kaboom real rainbow family or are they as it seemed to me.. just on the coast for a free site to live at and free supplies.. they have everything they need to start feeding the people in waveland.. but every other rainbow that shows up leaves within a week.. anyone care to inform me of why that is? thanks to all for your support and help with this issue..
thanks for the info on kaboom.. just did not understand why this rainbow was running off all the other rainbow kids and road dogs that came her way.. something seemed a bit fishy..i guess every fish smells bad at one time or another.. however me being new to the rainbow lifestyle i know i have alot to learn about how things are done.. it is much different than my old scene back in raleighwood, NC.. party kid at heart i just want to groove to tha beats.. you live you learn, you ask and you shall recieve.. as did i.. thanks again..and remember uncle chewy loves you! even if he doesn't understand you..
sometimes things are happening even though you dont see the results. maybe all those kids you saw come and go, got what they needed, maybe the magic happened. its hard as an outsider to understand the madness at times. we all have our own methods to cope with things.
The issue with Second Helpings is this: there were some problems early on with alcohol. Mama Kaboom is trying to keep the problem at bay Second Helpings is being focalized as more of a community center than a kitchen
i see the light now.. it was hard for me to see what waveland really had to offer..if anything was offered there at all.. being that i was a new fella on tha train, i took everything for what i saw, not what is was or could be.. even though i saw fishy things i also saw love and family atmosphere.. lessons are learned in many different ways and i guess that was my first taste of what hardships can come from living on tha road the way some do.. waveland did not leave a bad taste in my mouth but rather gave me hope that i can flourish along my path as well.. i think i can grasp why certains things happened the way they did down there, now that i know some background info on how they started second helping. Thanks for the knowledge passed down..
hey man i have been to waveland, ms.. and ron and mama are solid people.. i was not hip to the whole we welcome you regardless theme.. it kinda scared me.. i have never felt that from total strangers before. so needless to say i left as well.. but i am headed back, because i see now that they offer something i need in my life.. even if things seem crazy at times it is really just life's way of saying hey we got to give to live.. maybe you just need to see yourself in their eyes before you can see them in yours.. much love and hope to see you on a trail somewhere... peace, love, give to live..
hey brother mama and ron are solid family ive been staying at s.h. for over a month off and on and at times theres been bumps in the roads and sometimes people get tense under those circumstances,remimber this is not a gathering this is a disaster zone,but theve got things under control and every day is manifesting better things for the comunity ,i know who you are brother and you should visit again and see whats really going on now ,we got a good group of family and things are looking up ,we miss you brother and love you,, peace

It all started after New Waveland closed, and mama kaboom and ron and a few others wanted to make an encore attempt. They had community support, got land, etc, set up and the louisiana kitchens started sending their a-camp drainbows up because the didnt want them any more. The land was right next to a store that sold beer, and the guy always sold beer to them, and wouldnt allow mama to make the place alcohol free cause he was making money. So the place went to shit with quickness. Now she wants no alcohol, and not drummers, just workers. She was bogged down in free loaders and trying to run a releif kitchen. Brother, sister, or not, drag assers arnt, and shouldnt be, welcome.
