well then i guess in the past 4000 years there has been one death caused by cannibinoids. actually they havent determined wether the deat h was actually caused by sativex, but i dont think it was.
Oh good, a drug based on pot is responsible for someone's death. Now, most people who read that will likely assume that Pot is what killed this lady, or that because the drugs were derived from pot that pot is now bad.
i seriously doubt that thc had anything to do with the ladys death for one, the only semi-true dangers of smoking pot is that the smoke, not the thc, but the smoke from burning plant contains carcinogens, so without the burning, there are no dangers from pot this means that it wasnt the thc that killed her, cause if thc was lethal, we'd all be dead by now along with all of our parents and everyone who ever lit up a joint or sparked a bowl who knows what else was in that drug, could have been one of a million things and i hope nobody tries to link this to smoking weed
i dont really see how somone who dies from pnemonia and kidney disease can be related in any way clearly she had more problems then what her drug use was perscribed for
Actually, I did read the article. There, I read it a second time. Want to clue me in on what I missed?
nothing can be concluded from the article. but that also means that you cant conclude that the drugs didnt do it. there is so much information that we dont know about this very anomolous case. i like the way they report that she 'appeared drunk' instead of saying 'was stoned'. well i dotn like it but its ridiculous one thing we can learn from this article is that diabetics of this sort should not replace normal medical attention with getting stoned all and every day for three weeks. the article says nothing about what insulin she was taking. if she was stoned and took too much insulin (for one, her family was clearly ignorant to the effects of cannabis), this would be very bad because both being very stoned (also significant: after subjecting your body daily to cannabinoids when it never has been before) and taking too much insulin result in hypoglycemic condition.
