Don't take this in any disrepect or offensive. I just have one question. Well, I am a teenager and I could safely say I'm more "aware" (if you don't understand forget this line, lol) of what im doing and what is happening then a lot of the teenagers around me. I have a very logical, rational view of everything in life and I would just like to ask you why so many people believe in some religions (I am Deist btw)? The thing I don't understand most is how can you people be so entirely sure that one thing is true (Ahhemm, Christians) when you, or anyone on the planet for that matter, has no clue of? I feel as though religion is basically just to make profits by capitalizing off people's fear of the unknown. I mean it's like if everything else in the universe is rational, then why is the unknown irrational??? This is why I really have a strong dislike for Christians, Not their religion, But they feel as though they must recruit as many people as they can to Christianity (back to my religion is for profits point), basically saying that every other religion is wrong and Christianity is right. You do not know if it is true, they do not know if it is true, so let people believe in whatever they want. I Dont Know, I feel as though religion is just to make profits, capitalizing on people's fear of the unknown, and give people a reason not to kill themselves from their crappy lives (Example - Christianity) because religion says live life to the fullest and if you don't and kill yourself you'll goto hell. The world if full of bullshit, full of bullshitters, full of bullshitees. Why would you let yourself get suckered in to this game and firmly believe in it, tell people that it is most definitely the right way to life when you have absolutely no idea. I know this may flame you up after reading but try to have an open mind on it, if you let yourself be so close minded (ahhemm, Christians) then you'll be dumbed with nothing to say, nothing to do, because you won't let anything in all because the church tells you to. Well guess what, you really think the leaders of the church know the truth, of course not THEIR HUMAN JUST LIKE YOU!! Well Thank you for reading me rant on and please tell me what you think of me, this article, whatever. I want to start a debate, we may not reach the truth but we'll sure as hell reach a conclusion. _______________________________________________________________ Who is the happier man? He who has braved the storm of life and lived, or he who has stayed securely on shore and merely existed. ~Hunter S. Thompson
You're right, of course.. No other religion imposes itself on the world like Chrstianity.. As a young boy watching my so-called peers running off thousands upon thousands of leaflets bound for Eastern Europe in the name saving the unprotected from Damnation (European Christian Mission! The "Mission" was what made these people tick!). I quickly decided that no religion had a right to cross clear boundries into another's beliefs. But, unlike you, I considered it to be a numbers game. Especially when I look at the millions of Catholics in Latin America, that are only Catholics because somebody saw an "untapped market" for selling their religion.. I disagree with these figures anyway.. There are 60 million people in the United Kingdom, and "officially", we pretty much are all Christian by default. I don't know what the answers are, but I beleive the people that were born into a religion should only be encouraged to follow or to not follow that religion, and not to have their beliefs and culture ripped apart by outsiders.. I do like the way you think though..
Yeah, I mean ... r33f3r m4dn355. Sorry I got your profiles mixed up, hehe. I remember that r33f3r had the same quote in his, so I was just wondering if you made a new name or what?
nah its not me, but he did steal my quote, but its all good. you should also know gnosticism and the nag hammadi library were Jesus's teachings but they don't teach that in Christianity, hmm i wonder why. but i agree with what your saying.
Yeah I did see your signature and take it, but don't try to take credit for a quote you didn't even say, hahaha. I fucking hate when people do shit like that.
i never did try to take credit, notice how it says "hunter s. thompson" not reefer madness. So you hate it when people take stuff, but its ok when you do it. I see. Well anyways, its gone now, I'm sure you can find another quote out of the millions floating around.
I see how it says Hunter Thompson on it, and yes I hate when people take stuff. What did I take of you? Nothing. And yes you did say "...but he did steal my quote..." - This is not your quote, it's not my quote, it's everybody's quote. So can we shut up about this already?
