I wasn't really sure if this belongs here or not but due to the circumstances in many parts of the world, I thought that it should be at least discussed or soemthing. I have heard a lot about the Age of Aquarius being on the rise, people have been declaring that for like a hundred years or something and how it will bring inredible changes to certain ideas and the way of thinking/feeling. One particular idea I had read about was the change from something like the age of belief to the age of science or something along those lines. Just about how things in the world will change. I have also seen a large amount of stuff surrounding the end of the world in 2012. Many say ti wont be the end tho, but a huge change, a gigantic shift from what we know today. So, it kinda came into my mind that maybe these things go hand in hand. The one thing that really propelled me into thinking this was the muslim protests all over the place. Some are calling for Jihad (religious war right?). It just kinda gave me this though that what if a war like that were to start in a few years, leading us into 2012 and then this great change into a new age (Aquarius?) came upon our world.... these are just my rambles, post what you think, your theories and anything even remotely related to any of these three things....
yes, I have always had a very strange feeling about the year 2012, long before hearing that others did also. Don't claim to know what's going down, but something big is going to happen that year. I was under the impression that the "age of aquarius" started when the planets lined up in 1986 or whenever it was?? I mean, if it's an astrological thing, it has more to do with the stars and planets, right?

i had a strainge feeling about 1984 too, and a genuine hope earth would be invited to join the galactic united nations in 96. there was certainly a positive spirit released into this world in 1963 that came to fruition in 67 and 68, continuing to mature through most of the 70s untill the knee jerk of corruption obscured it in the early 80s. there is none of the darkness going on now that didn't have its roots in the 80s or even the mccarthism 50s. 2012 as far as i can see, other then being an election year, is just a number thrown out there because certain interests were dissappointed tecnology didn't grind to a screetching halt in 2000. perhaps 2012 well be the year our present darkness will clear from the skys of our hearts and spirit. but 2012, like 2000, is one of those 'too perfect' numbers. things do chainge. everything does. and sometimes profoundly enough to mark the occasion. i look forward to years with numbers like 2013, or 2021 or even 2027, though having been born in 1948 i can't be certain how many of them i'll see personaly. there is another calender. one that began in 1844 of the still dominant one. 1963 was it's year 119 and a special one in it. i look forward to it's year 200 or so, give or take a few decades. then there's the jewish and chinese calanders with dates in the 5,xxx and some odd year range. perhapse when one of these reaches the year 6000 but then it will probaly be another year, like all years in which many things chainge and a few do not lots of things overdue to chainge once again for the better, but pinning hopes and fears on numbers in a calender, well i don't see how that differs signifigantly from rolling dice or throwing darts =^^= .../\...
2012 has to do with the mayan calendar. I think we are inbetween the 4th and 5th world and after 2012 everyone is supposed to be able to do telepathy. I have heard that the antichrist will come on 06/06/06 and put a galactic spin on the bible and Jesus will come back in 2012.
To tell you the truth i was looking more towards 2010, but regardless your right on major chances, from what i gather it involves major psychological veils being lifted and people becoming unable to deny the truth to the point of "social damage". in other words the truth becoming so "in your face" that to deny it could only be the pleasure of the blind. In the years before this there will be many changes that take place which will cause instability in the so called "civilized" period we live in now, mainly do to the now constantly crumbling small fractures in society.our eyes will become open to the horrors that we say never happen and utterly cause a horrible breaking point in society, which is very sad. (there may be more but looking forward takes a very huge drain on the mind) and thats what i see. kinda like the fall of Rome.( it is true, all great nations fall alike), but then again i dont believe the futures set in stone.
