damn... how the fuck can they do that? there is no way. That will go into taxes, and i think as long as we have low taxes, no body cares if the kids do drugs. So what if we are a teenage wasteland

Yep, I heard it will cost near 15 mill on top of the 3.5 bill they spend every year on the "Drug War". Just think of what they could be doing with that money in stead of wasting it.

with the money that they are spending on the drug war and drug testing, they could fund very good scientific studies on the benefits of marijuana, and other uses for hemp.

Yeah, and it sure as hell wouldn't take 15 million dollars to prove hemp is safe and its uses...it only takes 25

no shit, sherlock. I was just saying that that money would be better served helping pot rather than holding it back.

"USA -- Drug testing of the American public has been steadily broadening over the past 20 years, from soldiers to grocery baggers to high-school and middle-school students. In its 2007 budget, the Bush administration asks for $15 million to fund random drug testing of students—if approved, a 50 percent increase over 2006. Officials from the federal drug czar's office are crisscrossing the country to sell the testing to school districts."

ummm... okay, the supreme court ruled that a school doesn't have the right to just randomly test children, any more than the government has a right to randomly test its citizens (it's called an illegal search and seizure)....
However, the school has a right to randomly test people if they participate in after school activities, just like sports leagues can randomly test their players...
