I've been doing acid almost regularly since I was 14 but first took it at a very young age. In the last two weeks Ive done it 4 times, but hey just some background info.

Anyways, everytime I blink and keep my eyes closed for a little, or anytime that my eyes are closed, I see visions of past trips. Especially in the time when I try to fall asleep and have my eyes closed, its kind of distracting at first but then I fall aspeel watching the cool swirlies. It doesnt really bother me, but does this happen to any of you people? I was just wondering, Ive only heard about acid flashbacks but never really looked into what they are, so is this it?

I've also smoked salvia a few times, and Ive eaten shrooms often, so maybe they have something to do with it. Thanks for your help(or helping me understand it, i donno). Ive wanted to go to a doctor, but Im a minor and living with my parents so tahts out of the question.

You may have HPPD (hallucinogen persisting perpetual disorder). It's nothing to be too worried about, though it can be a permanent thing, depending on the person. It comes from doing psychadelic drugs...I'm no doctor but my understanding of it is that it happens when a certain part of your brain gets "locked in" to the hallucinogenic state, so to speak. This can end up making a person see tracers off of bright lights permanently for example. I've only done acid once, and mushies twice, plus a lot of dxm and pot and I think I have it a bit. It's nothing too major, but I see effects in my peripherals sometimes, and I've also seen crawling patterns at times (like when I'm pretty tired and spacy, and staring at weird patterns or whatever). Hope this helps.

of course, folks with no drug experience at all still occasionally manifest the same symptoms as trippers...

so, can ya have "flashbacks" or "hppd" if you have never taken drugs?

"Reexperiencing the symptoms of hallucinogen taking without actual taking any of these substances. The disturbance causes marked distress. Complications of this disorder include suicidal behavior, Major Depression, and Panic Disorder."
suicidal behavior, O_O damn ive been thinking that way for a little while now. I dont wanna get help tho, its not because of acid that Ive been thinking suicidal thoughts, and I dont plan on carrying them out ever.
reading some more on the site, maybe I should stop while I am still considered "lucky". but i not only see the trails of light, i see other things too. and its permanent. damn damn damn

    chill out guys.
seeing some tracers and other psychedelic effects while sober is not the end of the world. it happens to a lot of trippers (and even non-trippers) especially while inebriated or sleepy. to some extent it may be semi-permanent, but most people report it subsiding within 3 or 4 years. so unless the visuals are doing a severe disservice to your daily wellbeing, then forget about it; it's a psychedelic reminder. it's not going to get worse.
    peace.
