A system of exchange used to unify markets and allow people to move on from the barter system.

    Not really.

The barter system is very limited and is completely unsustainable in highly populated areas.

Money allows us to buy a large range of goods wherever and whenever we like without having to rely on trading.

Money in and off itself is worthless. Its value lies solely in the fact that we give it value. It is generaly accepted as having value to exchange for goods and services. Its value also depends on the amount of money in circulation. If the government prints more money, the less value each dolar has. Thats exactly what happend in argentina several years ago. Well anyway there is my economic thoughts on money.

Almost everything is worthless until we give it a value, Nietzsche said that as humans our chief goal is value-positing...
NEways, before there was money people traded in cows... so really, aren't cows the root of all evil?

a symbolic placeholder for value, possessing none of its own. useful as a means. useless as an end.
