none of us are worthy. and impared judgement doth not a hippie maketh! any a-hole can get drunk or stoned. don't prove a diddily thing. mellowness is it's own heavin, belligerance it's own hell. that's what it's all about and all that it's all about.

although it's also all about not putting trying to impress each other or even the pseudosophestries of excitement ahead of the kind of world we all have to live in. that's what matters. but it's the first that makes us a true and noble hippie, or not as the case may be.

haha kayleigh.... i hope you were joking- not about not doing any "drugs" cause i think that is cool as hell but about thinking that was relevant.

It's just a trend, a fairly common activity, that I haven't participated in. Not to say that nerds don't do acid, or that hippies must do drugs. I'm not a hippie nor have I tried drugs. C'est tout.

 

^the only "hippies" that care about that are posers... a hippy has nothing to do with that (you could argue that... it is relevent to the culture, but true hippies dont give a fuck if you smoke pot or take acid or anything else... free choice)- being a hippy is more about your values and way or live, how you live and treat people

 

that said, im not a hippy.. i dont worry about whether im a hippy or anything else because i hate labels. im me. i try to be a conscious person and that's why i have interest in many hippy ideals but me.. hippy? im not that cool.

blech, the whole "what's a hippie, what's not a hippie" thing is ridiculously overdone (RT's not as bad, but hippies and yh is bad for it)

I don't care what other folks call a hippie, I don't identify with that label. I just don't feel it applies to me, however I happen to define it (no I haven't thought indepth as to what it is because I dont' identify with it!)

pseudo-historians with vested axes to grind, and appearently a hell of a lot of people who get on here who are the grand children of grand parents or great grand parrents who may or may not have been. also a hell of a lot of nonhippies back in the day

as for the nerds/stoners thing, most of the real nerds and most of the stoners i personaly know, are the SAME people! on the other hand most of the alkies i run into are retarded idiots. (i say most because there ARE exceptions to ANY generality.)

Hippie/hippy is just a word. I am not one for titles per say. Some people call me a hippy, others call me an asshole. Doesn't mean a lot to me.

 

i'm poor, i have no choice but to be a hippie.
