I will be turning 18 in about a month and have always wanted a tattoo. I think i finally figured out what i want. A flaming phoenix between my shoulder blades. To me it represents my rising and starting of my own life. Is this a common enough tattoo that an artist would have a design already or should i have one of my artsy friends draw something up?
I'd suggest researching pictures on the computer, and already having an idea of what you want to take to the artist.
I was thinking it would be like flying up my back. Wings kinda downward. Maybea dark red or maroon and yellow.
like I said, use Google Images, and find the pictures, and rough ideas, color and stuff can be sorted out at the parlour, get yourself a drawing they can work with, something you want to copy, or have done similar search "pheonix tattoos" or something
