how hypocritical folks can be on here I mean, just months ago people were insulting peaceful jeffrey over how he used to rag on people over their spelling and grammatical errors (and in most cases, what he complained about was bad enough to have changed the intended message) and yet, now many folks mock others for their spelling errors. Rather than offering up some advice or anything constructive, they just mock them.... c'est bizarre
i dont pay any attention to how someone spells on here, i am not one to really judge anyone on how they spell or how they use their punctuation etc.
I do comment on peoples spelling sometimes, or writing style, but usually it's just asking them to put stuff into paragraphs and sentences instead of three pages without a period or the enter button and yeah, that's hypocritical too, but... at least I can recognize it (aha, I kinda liked jeffrey, shroom, because he said that I was always right teehee. Aside from the occasional bout of creepiness, at least)
no, not really I mean, your comment led me to think about it more, but moreso it's because it's happened to me (alter ego) on here, where i deliberately typed differently than I normally do so it was harder to read.... and got mocked for my problem and imperfect spelling rather than getting any serious advice.
I have two dis-lexic (I DON'T KNOW HOW!!) friends - and one is a writer - they have two completely different ways of writing - he always writes in hieroglyphic kind of capitals - she always writes in backwards sentences - I wouldn't want them to change - they are completely original, and both have jobs and aren't worried about it.How DO you you spell dis-lexic? and rhythm? woa I think I got rhythm right - fank gudness.
I was just teasing. If you think it would be more appropriate if I gave pointers on ebonics, I'll gladly do that next time. Example: Omelet, pronunciation: om-e-lette used in a sentence I was gonna bust a cap in yo ass, but omelette you go dis time
I'm dyslexic and I have writting contracts. There are a lot of dyslexic writters it really pisses me off when people assume that just because I cannot spell i am dumb or cannot write...I mean like as if I did not hear that enough in second grade when I couldn't spell and wrote all my letters backwards and up-side down. Us dyslexics are creative. good for your friend. Does she or he write technical or creative or both or something different?
true shredder- usually but i find it funny because ihmurria sees to have a definate point about hypocrites... people around here seem to be worse hypocrites then pretty much anywhere else. it IS kinda amusing.
Since you were such an amazing fairy bitch about my insult, I have no choice but to give you some slack. I don't want you on my side if there's a war. You'd be complimenting the enemy.
He is - has - written a novel - I said I'd help him edit it and do some illustrations for it then get it published. The difficult part then is selling it but I've figured how to get it printed on cafepress/lulu - it's a huge story - I still haven't read it all - it's like a whole universe he's had in his head since he was a kid.Anythinks possible - I gave a blind guy piano lessons once - he'd already made it to grade 5 - he had all the music in braille and memorised it bit by bit.It only got confusing when we discovered my printed music was an edited version of his braille music - but we worked through it..
spelling errors I can deal with, it's gramatical errors that piss me off... but yea, there are folks in here who are a bit hipocritical (sp?) about certain things, it's weird.
